For that to happen, you’d have to take away each US state’s ability to issue their own license plates and create a federal agency to issue plates on a nationwide basis. Either that or create more stringent federal plate design standards for states to follow. If you knew anything about the US, then you’ll know how well…
Wait...how did MBUSA pull off owning a dealership?
I’d have to pass on this one. These early-2000s VW-era Bentleys are typically bought and owned by the same sort of folks who’d buy Range Rovers and HEMI Chargers from BHPH lots — clout-chasing status seekers and ballers on a tight budget. Also, that interior looks a bit too VW parts-binnish for my tastes.
You’re better off buying a Vickers-era Bentley if you just have to have the badge cred. At least you’d just look like a collector rather than a status-seeking tw@t.
We’re all deplorables, here. Get used to it. :D
The right-wing propaganda works. Train a man to spiral into a frenzy against any threat perceived as “communism” and you can literally rob him blind. It’s what makes our capitalist system work stunningly well.
Hey buddy, the Soviet Union collapsed 30 years ago. Might want to catch up with the rest of us.
Hell of a visual there, but she’s probably working at a Walmart or Dollar Tree.
Yes, cops should be less aggressive when conducting pursuits that could potentially injure others.
Two words: driving gloves.
Flag and move on.
Seems like they banned your old account for a good reason. Perhaps they’ll do the same for this burner and others like it.
How you manage to get out of the greys when I have to claw my way out of them with far, far less inflammatory content is a mystery for the ages. Or maybe it’s just how much Kinja sucks.
If this thing had a Mercedes-Benz engine to go with the Mercedes-Benz badging, I would have respected the effort a lot more.
Yeah, I’m not a big fan of the “you wouldn’t be doing this if you had nothing to hide” defense. Automatically assuming nefarious intent is exactly how and why asset forfeiture laws still stand.
I remember that article. It was probably a 993 or something similar. I think the interior matched the car paint?
I couldn’t tell you the last time I saw a Chevy Celebrity in the flesh. My parents owned a 6000, so at least I had some seat time in a A-Body.
This. Oh so much.
I have one of those now. Reliable, but I’d imagine the Phaeton is a bit more....engaging as far as handling goes.
