Pretty much the same, except it was the production values and the sight of exotic automobilia I would rarely, if ever, see this side of the pond. CAR cost a pretty penny back then, but the slick photography and overall quality blew away anything U.S. car mags were doing straight into the weeds.

$3500 should be the high mark for a car like this, but I put in a NP vote anyways just because of how nice it looks. Plus, supercharged 3800, folks. Can’t go wrong with that setup.

And then the transmission gives up the ghost and the car ends up in a Copart yard, destined for the pick-and-pull.
