There’s zero reason to level up cooking right now because all the mats are supper expensive. Meanwhile all the finished foods are basically worthless. A Light Meal costs like 10g to make if you buy the cheapest mats but sells for 1/10th of a gold.

Well compared to our current taxes it’s laughably high. Imagine if you paid the entire purchase price of your home in taxes every month. 

You’d think that but I used to have to perform monthly reporting and the banks very much fear the regulatory consequences that can come from misbehaving. Definitely more so under Dem than Con administrations but there’s still some there.
