Yours is the most sane and reasonable take. Ford is, i am sure, aware of this as well. Tons of dudes who work in an office and live in the burbs and have never towed a fucking thing in their life all drive trucks. This E F150 will fit in perfectly w/that crowd.

Probably never, because BEVs know that they are plugged in and the computer won’t let you put it into drive until you unplug.

Bridge Inspection Checklist: A+++ rating

Same here, my bookmark is to “Latest” so it’s chronological. I was blown away when I accidently went to the homepage with an errant click and saw the mess that was there. For a second I thought that was the “updated” Latest page but fortunately that was not the case.

Basically this. I’ve seen loads of F-250s towing horse trailers and boats, but most F150s I see are pulling uhauls, jet skies, and trailers, and are likely going 50 miles or less, round trip

I always just go straight to the “latest” section, never to the home page.

If an inspector is forced by his superiors to fudge reports and he doesn’t report it up the chain or to the appropriate authorities, then he deserves to be fired and lose his professional license.

If the inspector was forced by a superior to fudge the reports, then there’s more people who need firing and probably prosecution.

I have a good friend who’s a health inspector for the State of Arkansas, and let’s just say that while he’s excellent at his job, the state has cut budgets and staffing to the degree that his backlog is literally years long. I can’t imagine engineering inspectors have it any better. All in the name of Fuck you, I do

The real answer here is that if you tow larger trailers longer distances, this probably isn’t the truck for you (though the Hybrid F-150 probably is).

But the reality is that for the *three quarters of a million* F-150s sold last year, there’s an incredibly large number of owners that don’t tow anything, or tow very

I’m not so sure about your last statement.

...what if trailers started coming with battery packs to offset the range hit? I know it would add weight but adding battery capacity in the thing that makes you need more capacity rather than just making the truck’s battery bigger seems like a reasonable solution.

red state problems not getting fixed. who knew?

Is there only one person responsible for all the bridges in Arkansas, or does this smell like a scapegoat job to you, too?”

I’ve driven a Fit on the highway before.

Ask Minneapolis how terrible it is when a major interstate bridge collapses in the middle of you city.

>Earlier this week Arkansas fired the bridge inspector who missed the crack in consecutive 2019 and 2020 inspections, and did take an opportunity to admit that the crack was visible in the 2019 video. Is there only one person responsible for all the bridges in Arkansas, or does this smell like a scapegoat job to you,

The Fit is a Good Car™, but it is built to be light, affordable, and reliable. It is not a great highway cruiser, and the HRV, Civic, and Mazda recommended would all be vastly more comfortable for long highway cruises. 6 hours is a long drive, and even a little extra comfort and even a little more reduction in NVH

6-hour road trips and people are recommending a Fit? WTF?

I’m going to stan for my own ride and suggest a Mazda3 hatchback. It has more than enough room for 2 people and a dog, and the hatch makes carrying dog accessories like a crate easier. The low step in height is a big winner for dogs too. My 70 lb pit has bad knees, so I have to give her a boost climbing in and usually
