You realize that’s a Torch’ photoshop? I’m pretty sure he did that to spite all of us for making fun of his last one, with the rear axle all the way back by the taillights.

Another benefit of a hitch-rack.... You can put it on any other vehicle with a hitch, in case you need to take a different car. This rack normally lives on my Focus, but works great on my sister’s motorhome too.

Hitch rack. Roof racks are good for 2 bikes, since you can reach each side. But more than 2, and the middle bikes are hard to reach. They do keep your bikes out of the road grime in the winter, but you take on more bugs guts in the summer. Hitch racks are easier to load, and a 4 bike rack is only marginally more $

FFS - The EcoBoost has been out for 12 years now.... How does anybody think “it only makes power on the top end”? It’s actually the opposite. They make diesel-like torque on the low end, and fall off a little at the upper reaches of the tach.

I think a FWD-based platform is ideal for a compact truck too. This size truck just normally doesn’t have any load over the rear end. And if they use the same Twinster rear diff, it’ll still offer great traction loaded and off-road.

FYI - There is also Fusion 2.0L turbo (250 hp 275 torques), with optional AWD. Still a really good powertrain. That’s actually a little more torque than the Focus ST. The 2.7L EcoBoost will have distinct Sport badging, but the EcoBoost badges are the same.

Government auctions do minimal prep when they sell. Mostly just remove or covor logos. If you meant new... I don’t see why not. Buth Nissan and Ford offer factory wraps. Might have to do with longevity though. I think wraps are only warranted for 2 or 3 years typically. I don’t even know if the factory wraps have a

$400 is not the cost of the paint job. It’s the cost of the custom color from the factory. Ford still does this as long as you order 5 or more. $400 gets you a flat color, like Dessert Tan. Metallic colors are slightly more if its another Ford color. But custom colors, like Amazon gray on the new Transit vans, cost

They actually explained it when they made the change. They were paying $400 per vehicle for that color, but then also losing another $1,000 or so at resale, because at the time, nobody wanted that color. So they basically paid for the color twice. Not insignificant considering the size of the fleet.

Yup, this was what ended it for me (the first being how repetitious the stations got when the got rid of actual DJs). Seems like they allocated more bandwidth for the most popular channels, but anything non-mainstream had terrible quality. I tolerated it for a while, since I do a LOT of rural driving. But once Pandora

There’s so many shared dimensions, I fully expect to see a joint-venture for production, where Ford builds the rolling chassis and maybe even the body, Rivian does the electronics and powertrain. Kinda like the Mercury Villager / Nissan Quest Joint venture. They didn’t even try to mask who made what. There were Ford

Most existing power service won’t have an extra 100 amps (@480v) sitting around unused, unless the property was formerly used for manufacturing. Installing anything less will make is obsolete, except for overnight charging at residences. FWIW last summer I had to add new service to one of my projects. I put in 2 new

And at a lower RPM too. And it doesn’t fall on its face above 4500 RPM.

Yup! 1.5L EcoBoost was optional!

But they cancelled the turbo Connects since nobody bought them. I had high hopes for the 1.5L diesel too, but apparently dealers didn’t order any. At all. So they dropped that too.

I agree. The alternative would have been furloughing most positions and terminating sales staff. My youngest brother is a service tech as a Nissan dealer, and they also got a PPP loan and retained the full staff. He’s been doing a lot of building maintenance and cleaning because even service visits are a fraction of

I think the “Sport” moniker will be confusing too, because up until this year, it meant “bigger EcoBoost” as a Ford trim. But the II moniker implies some sort of sequencing, which also doesn’t make sense IMO. I liked TFL’s nickname, the Buckaroo.

For sure, but let’s get real. The new Defender is really a new Freelander. Maybe I’m just bitter they didn’t make a real Defender successor.

The 3.5L Ecoboost performs like a 6+ liter V8. The 2.7L is equivalent to a 5-ish liter V8

Suggestions for significantly more effecient crossovers with a 2.7L twin-turbo or equivalent? The 2.0L turbo gets close to 30 MPG highway. Besides the Audi/BMW/Mercedes, I don’t think anybody else makes a 5-seater crossover that quick?
