I voted CP not because its a bad car, but only because this sampling seems above market. At least in the PNW, you can pick up similar ones for about $11,000. Surprisingly, they tend to list for less than Focus Electrics.

Because they embraced the Countour/Mondeo platform instead:
But at least it qualifies for the $39 oil change at any Ford dealer. And if they still have older version of Ford IDS software, they can do diagnostics too. And cross ref most of the Lincoln parts that interchange.
Durability. Our trucks *Generally* have steeper routes than trucks in the E.U. (Interstate highways here may exceed 6%, and secondary roads in some cities can be over 20%), combined with higher speeds (75 MPH is legal for trucks in some states) and finally, a longer service life (1,000,000 miles expected between…
It’s unclear. It only says the “de-emphasized public transportation”. So I read that as how much ride share is used. Or maybe they count walkablity? Hard to know since they aren’t very transparent on their methodology.
Also, Uber cost as an airport ranking metric?!? WTF. How about instead, rate the number of transportation options, and amount of time to reach downtown. Cost is irrelevant when your Uber sits in traffic with everybody else. Give me a train from the airport to downtown. Bonus points if the station is in the baggage…
But the Outback is in the same class as the Edge, not the Escape. The Edge is quite a bit nicer inside. And comes with a turbo. And doesn’t have silly language in the owner manual like Subaru, who won’t cover damage from towing a trailer, and downrates the towing capacity in half when “driving in hilly terrain or in…
The profit margins on those XL-sized top-trim vehicles is often more than the full MSRP on a compact vehicle. So yeah, consumers do have room to go downmarket, but it’s going to be painful for the automakers.
I agree. This partnership structure sounds promising. The VW powertrains is fairly mundane in most of their lineup, e.g. The Atlas 2.0L turbo vs the Explorer 2.3L turbo or 3.5L twin turbo, and Ford doesn’t have a dedicated EV platforms. Building a BEV from a combustion platform will always have tradeoffs.
On that note, the Honda V6 was it’s only redeeming quality...
2013 MB GL350 specs:
Basically you push a rectangle nut into the channel, compressing the rubber, then turn the nut 90 degrees so it seats. Accessories bolt in from there. If you look at the newer ski and bike racks form them (and Yakima) they all mount this way. But yeah, big stuff like rocket boxes and heavier MTB racks still clamp. The…
Also, those are Thule aeroblade bars. Which means everything mounts into the slot on top, concealed by the rubber trim. Nothing needs to clamp around it.
I get the appeal of diesels, but small diesels like this a bit of a letdown. 211 horsepower is not enough. While the 400 ft-lbs, isn’t bad, it’s really only mediocre in something this heavy. An EcoBoost Expedition would run circles around it.
Individual chairs are for peasant’s children.
Not the seats. The plastic clips that hold the seat upholstery. The long back piece was broken on all the seats. The stow and go seats had most of the clips broke. One had every clip broke, so folding the seats would cause the bottom cushion cover to come off. I suppose it’s possible that an exceptionally overweight…
Chevy called is a Classic when they did the overlap thing. Ford called it a Heritage Edition, but 2004 was the last time they did this.
I think the transmission complaints are already souring the retail customer base. And for rental duty, the interiors aren’t very durable. I had a top-trim one last summer for a couple weeks, and every single seat was falling apart, because of the low-quality plastic clips used to hold the upholstery on. It only has…
This tech is still fairly half-baked. MB has it figured pretty well, but everybody else can’t figure out curves. Those systems seem to only detect a car in front (going the same way) when the road is nearly straight. Should’t be too hard to get that part right, or even make the high-beams selective based on direction…
That just reminded me thing was once a thing!:
