It was a complete asshole thing to do to unsuspecting people. No, he didn’t kill anyone. That doesn’t mean he should get off easy, or that people shouldn’t be angry about it.

A fundamental problem with our society is that it rewards psychopathy.

This is who millions of Americans want to spend their free time watching and give their hard earned money to. This guy.

As in those people, if shown on the stream, can now sue the shit outta him. That’s waaaaaay more damaging to his life than whatever, if any, slap on the wrist he would get from law enforcement.

However, he did commit a felony. 

Broadly, streamers seem understanding of the ban because, well, Dr Disrespect strolled into a public bathroom with a camera in tow. Multiple times. It doesn’t get much more clear-cut than that.

Blurring the faces wouldn’t matter here. It’s illegal to film in the bathroom no matter what. So yeah, he definitely has bigger fish to fry. But, a possible unban shows a lot about what Twitch is (or isn’t) willing to put up with.

Twitch banning aside, what he did is a crime in California (filming/photogrpahing people in a public bathroom is a criminal offense). Wondering why he hasn’t been charged with a crime - or if he has, why nobody is talking about the fact he committed A CRIME.
