@plopfish: Well hopefully they wouldn't disagree with ALL my sites, as Gizmodo and Lifehacker are two up there on the top of my list... :)

One bit of advice that isn't listed here. Learn how to tie a true Windsor knot. Most people only do a Half-Windsor and it looks awkwardly slanted. A Windsor looks uniform and is a larger knot, which seems to be in fashion nowadays.

@grantman321: I agree to a point. They (Jos. A. Bank) don't have the best selection of fitted (they call it Tailored Fit) shirts in all styles though, and I think that the quality has come down a bit over the past couple of years. The Travelers are the only ones to get and you can find them on sale around the

@Deep-Blue: Yeah - sorry - didn't mean to be such a downer, but this is just a huge amount of data that we're drowning in, yet our advancements seem to be minute when compared to the advancements made in other eras where there wasn't so much information overload.

Too bad, out of the 255M websites, there's only about a dozen that I find worthwhile to browse through on a daily basis. Talk about drowning in a sea of crap. I wonder how much server energy is wasted on a daily basis on static websites with content that hasn't changed in a year. At some point it might make sense

I'm afraid that this is the flip side of the openness that is the Android/iOS Markets. We have a breadth of applications at our fingertips that we've never had before, and the price for the software is minimal in terms of the features provided. With this positive lies the nasty negative affect of applications being

@Whitson Gordon: Agreed 10000% - I'm looking at the HTC Shift on Sprint as it looks to be a really good overclocker (should be faster than the original EVO due to being the second generation chip, as well as the ability to really overclock that chip), but XDA Forums still hasn't created a forum for the Shift and I

@sean000: Well written. The irony in this whole thing is the people who support the GOP the most are many who are hurt by the policies of the GOP. The GOP has done well since Reagan in wrapping themselves in the flag of Patriotism, all the while preventing drug imports; increasing the tax burden on the lower 85%;

@Whitson Gordon: Yeah - I'm of the mind that they're not evil - at least not yet - and as such have drunk the koolaid. They have over 70 gigs of my data on their servers (mostly Picassa and Docs), but the ability to have access to everything at anytime with the knowledge that in a disaster, my stuff is backed up,

I agree whole heartedly. There are many fee apps out there that are truly awesome (Google Apps are truly remarkable, but you do wonder how much money they make off data mining your information). That being said, there are just some apps that I feel it's worth paying for - Beautiful Widgets, Tasker and Better Keyboard

Anyone who wanted to invade Iraq should be against these tax cuts. Anyone who supports our soldiers should be against these tax cuts. Anyone who is against the deficit should be against these tax cuts. As far as I'm concerned, if you're for these tax cuts, you're just plain selfish.

Now if only they would provide support for non multi-touch phones. Perhaps a lab feature that has a little ball in the upper corner you can scroll to move the 3-D around. Or better yet, implement it like the paid apps do and base the 3D on the direction of travel and not just the compass, as many phones still don't

@nick103: Not sure how a jumping with that chute that particular way doesn't fill the gadget category. May not be an electronic gadget, but many things on here (axes, knives, sledding off buildings in Russia) aren't related to electronic gadgets. For one, I am really intrigued how he did that and how often that type

@phdearthworm: I have a feeling the virus is only alive while it's growing on the metal. Its usefulness is in increasing the surface area, and once the chemicals are added and they start to be charged, the virus dies, but the increased surface area remain intact (unless the virus breaks down once dead, which would

The Wii Remote and Nunchuk + Choice of Game (Wii) for $35 is actually the base price with a crappy game. Add a good game to it and the total can go up to 70 bucks. Still not a bad deal, but certainly not as cheap is it seemed.

AWESOME. Since I'm working from home today, I thought I'd take a break and cut a couple of these out. They came out great. Here's a little easier way of folding the paper: [www.kinderart.com]

@bjmckenna: I don't think it's because we pay their salaries that people believe in openness in our government. It's because an open government is accountable for its actions. The best example is when our government kept secret the reason for going to war with another country - as in Vietnam, and later in Iraq.

@Kyle Rose: Wow - you can really feel the pucker factor about 44 seconds in when that huge outcropping appears and it looks like he's already committed. Sweet movie. Thanks for sharing.

Quite honestly, I'm surprised the guy taking the video wasn't interrogated for an hour for taking the video of TSA operations.

@Famf: It's a little hard to quantify. The screen on the new generation kindle is better than the nook, but unless you hold them side by side, it may not be apparent to most users. The kindle has a keyboard, the nook does not. The nook can be rooted though and it can run other apps (as found here: [nookdevs.com] .
