Right now she's definitely the worst, but it mightn't be long before I begin to loathe the bizarro evil version of Kevin Gillespie.

I agree completely, though the show's always kind of tried to mix up-and-coming talent in the culinary community with at least a few outliers.  This time around, I was kind of confused about the inclusion of Tesar, given that he's not just a talented up-and-coming chef, but an incredibly established one.

I'm very excited to read this after having loved "How to Live Safely…"  Though his stylistics might have turned some people off, I thought they were intertwined carefully and thoughtfully with the narrative.

It definitely is, but Manners felt too flat for me, so I'm glad that Gossamer accentuates the band's strengths to a greater degree.

"Maximalist pop with interesting lyrics" is the most succinct way I can think of to describe their sound.

I don't know about the album being an instant legendary mythical classic best-album-of-all-time album, but the standout tracks are definitely amazing.  For me, that's Pyramids/Bad Religion, maybe Pink Matter.

I'm really digging how this is both a perfect summer album and an album that rewards close listening.

The new album is great.  The three preview tracks are among the strongest, but overall it's a consistent batch — much more so than Passion Pit's first album.

Over time, it's been You Shall Know Our Velocity that remains Eggers' strongest work for me — the one that I still reread with anticipation.  I'll give this a shot but the review seems to touch upon the book containing some of the most problematic points of so-called postcolonial/postimperialist narratives.

There's no "Tyrant, Destroyed" moment (though "You Call Me On is close), but the only lull that stands out to me is "Run My Heart", and then it's just incredibly consistent until the last track (plus hidden track), which is a mild letdown.
