I mean, Andy Kaufman was doing it in the 70s on the very first episode of SNL, if you wanna go that far. Absurdism in humor is nothing new and won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

Longfellow has been pretty solid in his Update appearances, but sketches, not so much. And yeah, Walker has been... there.
I got serious Christopher Reeve vibes from him, but I don’t know who he is.
Haha - have you watched SNL at ALL before? Their greatest bits were rehashed again and again and again and again. Wayne’s World, Church Lady, Spirit Cheerleaders, The Continental, Target Lady, Mary Katherine Gallagher, Sprockets, hell - even Blues Brothers were rehashed over and over with very little variation from…
You mean you don’t already put blue curacao in your Cocoa Puffs?
Show is great so far, but side note: When we get the eventual Anthony Bourdain biopic, how much money can we throw at Bogosian to make sure he’s the guy? I can’t think of anyone else more perfect for the role, and I was actually imagining him AS Bourdain in his scenes. It’s almost impossible not to.
Yes, read the books, but more importantly, also listen to The Babysitters Club Club podcast alongside!
I legitimately didn’t know there was a person named “Roark” playing the game. Is that even a real name? I swear they inserted her into this episode for the first time.
I held off on replying because I knew this article was in the works:
Ok. well you just wrote that it was only makeup and lighting above. That’s not the same thing as what you quoted, so you’re already changing your argument. And yes, that quote is accurate - they altered her face with a complete digital face-mapped overlay. That doesn’t contradict what I’ve said at all.
This is not…
I’m happy you can “see it” and that ILM’s amazing work has got you fooled, but you’re still wrong, and honestly you’re likely just being a troll at this point. Literally every article online about this notes that she was a body double, nothing more. I know directly from the source that this was done in full CG,…
Sure, man. I have a close friend who works for ILM and knows all about what was done, but I’m sure you’re totally right because IMDB credited the body for the performance. Look at any photo of Ingvild Delia and compare it to what was shown in Rogue One - they look nothing alike other than basic face shape.
You’re so incredibly wrong.
