This show shows a lot of laughing, a lot of thinking out loud trying to modify as quickly/hastily as possible and - most importantly - not taking itself too seriously. My favourite aspect is showing what punishment you can put a car through without fully killing it. I have mechanical sympathy but some of the MS&G

I would love to fly to NYC and build a kick arse snow plough car thing. I would use something really shite, like a Ford Tempo AWD.

I hope you will enjoy the humour in MS&G. If not then at least me and Wook made one another chuckle. In truth we really had a right fucking laugh. Belly giggles a plenty.

I don't drink tea, you know that.

I think we would love to do a Red Neck version of Pike's Peak. A true hillbilly event for hill billys, surely?

Ferris! Hello chap. Pontiac Aztek you say? Hmmm, I think you need to watch the CARMAGEDDON episode of our show. Guess why? Yes, because I picked that exact car and made it INDESTRUCTABLE*.

There could well be montage build sections on Mud, Sweat & Gears. I have campaigned for a lot for the use of soft rock during these sections. Like Foreigner and Toto.

I like fast agile modern muscle so long as it stays true to its roots. It still has to have character and feel larger (and sillier) than life itself.

1. We have got some armed vehicles in the Truck of War episode. There are a good few pyrotechnics in the shows. I am a simple man, so the sight of fire always arouses me. So long as said fire isn't on my face or chest.

The Skin wristwatch is only appropriate in warm climates with close friends. It is not always welcomed at weddings. Just ask Wookie. ....

Hello sailor! Yes, there has been strong chatter and prep for series 2. There are so many mods and cars still to play with.

No plans as yet for the show to come to Britain, but that could change if it becomes successful I suppose. The show was always devised for American audiences, so not sure if Brits would dig it. Hopefully they would. They would see lots of sunshine (it was all filmed in Cali), which is always aspirational.

Fifth Gear is still alive. 25th series being filmed as we speak and will end up on History I believe.

No stupid American jokes will take place in MS&G because I am a stupid person, only English.

I like muscle car auto shift handles that look like aircraft thrust levers. The shift knob on my '67 Beetle is so ridiculously tiny and simple it looks like a lost part of a child's board game. Yet, it's so ergonomic. Love them.

Hello Mike, pleasure mate. Really chuffed to be on the Jalopnik virtual crib. 15 mins ago I was trying to keep my hands warm in the garage.... not in a rude way.

Hello! Fifth Gear is still alive actually. We're filming the 25th series as we speak. It is no longer on channel 5, but will be on ITV4 in the UK and History everywhere else I believe.

Hi Matt

This new show is a bit silly, but in a good way. Lots of backyard engineering, mild swearing and genuine heartfelt grinning.

Cheers for those comments. You, Mr Satanic Fuel, are owed a beer. By me.
