In order:

Hands up for those who cannot afford cable, let alone HBO... I download almost everything I watch, and I think that is an accurate description of most of my late 20s/early 30s peers and their preferences as well.

LOL fuckstick.

Oh you are SO hearted for that.

Seriously. Some friends of ours just went through a scary time with their baby getting sick (he is fine now though!) and my partner basically shuddered and said that is why he is nervous about having kids, because bad things happen to them. But you cannot live your life worrying that something bad might happen to

My mum was in her 30s with both my brother and myself, and my dad was 43 and 45 with each of us, and neither of us are autistic or have any autism spectrum issues. I just don't know about these sorts of studies in terms of reliability. Regardless, no individual case necessarily follows the statistical "norms".

Yes! Harvest gold! My parents just moved, and finally retired the very same harvest gold clothes dryer that came with the house when they bought it back in 1985! The matching washer died long ago, and the harvest gold fridge only lasted a few years...

I have never seen this show but as a recent house hunter (for real, not fake) I have to say WTF? Do people do this? I mean, sure, have a style preference, and who doesn't want nice new appliances, but to have that be a dealbreaker? People be crazy.

I imagine that "Vouchér" would be pronounced the way Freddy Quimby pronounces Chowder - Vow-Share.

LOL, I love that! Why are you trying to get to him? To wipe the blood on him? Why wouldn't you be dragging yourself towards the freezer for some ice cream ;)

YES. All of this, shark week, the kitties, everything. But especially the "man flu" when my man has a tiny cold and its all the end of the world, whereas I am bleeding out my snatch and cramping like I just ate red tide algae, and still manage to work a full day and make dinner.

Ooh have you seen Homeland? Very very good. Notwithstanding my desire to do dirty things to Damien Lewis, it is still that good.

Yeah I never got in to True Blood, mostly because of an inexplicable dislike of Anna Paquin, but the few episodes I watched were saved by Lafayette.

Yes, she is adorable and hilarious. Clearly making fun.

No no... but maybe its like "a murder of crows", and that's just what you call it.

You are completely right - I am actually attending an arranged marriage this summer, and several of my friends have had their spouses arranged through their parents/religious circles. It is customary in their culture(s) to have an "arranged marriage".

YES. So many kittehs for me to pet and love.

Yeah this happens a lot in my field, and it is nice to hear that this isn't all in our collective heads. I recently left a job where my male boss had a trophy wife, and the difference in his treatment of me compared to my female boss was remarkable. What was even more shocking was my own innate acceptance of the

I am always comforted when others admit that they also love cats more than most people - it makes me feel like less of a terrible misanthrope, and more terribly misunderstood. My fantasy retirement would involve a large house, land, and a bajillion cats who needed a safe home.

Completely agree - it should be called "Life Skills" and include everything from how to fix a toilet to how to roast a chicken. I had a Home Ec. rotation in Grade 8, mandatory, that included machine shop, career skills, sewing, cooking and (old school I know) drafting and (I date myself here) "Technology".
