That point has been argued for a long time now but the reality is is that a very tiny if any amount of F1 tech makes it to road cars anymore. There is no connection now as it is between the tiny 2 point whatever V6s and road cars. When’s the last time Mercedes released a turbo hybrid V6 in a road car that makes 750 hp

I drove:

Why? I’m asking a serious question, we’ve had it now for 2 years and I don’t see any benefit to it, but I might be missing something. All I see is handicapped engines that can’t make it to peak RPMs specified by the rules because they can't get enough fuel to make the power, or they will run so lean they pop.

I know. That's why I said change it. The last time F1 was genuinely interesting was the early to mid 90s.

Why? What We have currently is technophile misery now. How many engines have bit the dust in the past two seasons from all this hybrid crap? How many engines have bit the dust from running lean due to fuel flow restrictions?

I understand his somewhat valid points, but like Bernie and Jean Todt and Charlie Whiting, I can’t be bothered to care.

I can agree with that. I owned a 944 once. Had the cup suspension on it and upgraded sway are and it was an absolute riot to drive. You could balance it on a razor’s edge. That, to me, is the perfect track car.

Oh, it's for the thrill, I just don't need a cranky old 911 to get them... ;)

Doesn’t that mean the earlier 911s are better cars? Everyone is worshiping this thing because it’s analog and pure and unmolested and unrefined and whatever other adjectives you want to use to describe it. In those same posts I see lots of negative comments about newer cars and their technology, aimed at the GTR and

Right, because my net worth in this existence is affected and determined by how I can drive...

Am I the only one who doesn’t get it?

I can see his Yelp review now on this “wheeling location” under the username “grey_rubi_4_lyfe”:

Being lazy and not having researched these, are they rear drive biased like the old GLK, or, are they basically a more boxy CLA/GLA?

I think I have a good analogy for owning a Bentley Continental.

You didn’t say it had to be a worldwide thing, so...

Baby Jesus: Lexus LFA, because babies scream, and nothing this side of an F1 car screams like an LFA.

Serious question: What does the attractiveness of your wife have to do with the operational performance of her vehicle?

I agree, why you get beat up to the extent you do, I don’t fully understand. It’s like these people who sign up for predatory loans and then claim they didnt know What they were signing up for. How did you not know?!?!?!

I sent probably a weeks worth of nights just lazily perusing the forums. Our English friends have a good handle on what one of these things costs to own and operate.

Glad to help.
