Ah...I love the Grand Prix 2+2. Now it's got me in an 80's/90's kinda mood:
Mustang SVO
Taurus SHO
Contour SVT
Dodge Shadow - Shelby CSX
1991 Olds 442 (w-41 option)

...and you have freedom of assembly and freedom of the press. That is provided it isn't after 9pm.

Actually it sort of made sense... In the late 80's and early 90's when the Japanese economy was on fire, their auto manufactures wanted to move into the luxury and high performance world. They did a pretty good job. Lexus, Infiniti, Acura and the Mazda's still born Amati brand which the Eunos Cosmos was supposed

I have a teenage son who can have a bit of a temper. On occasion, I like to use variations on this 30 year old quote from an unknown Harlem woman on the Bernard Goetz shooting:

I think it's little sister is just as under rated.

Agreed....and the three runner-up's would be the Acura NSX, Nissan 300ZX and Mazda RX-7. It was kind of fun when the Japanese went a little crazy.

I'm impressed there are two other people on this site that know what LISP is.

Actually, they had them from 1974 until 1986.

At one point in the 90's there was talk that BMW would bring back the Triumph name and put it on a two seat roadster that they were working on. They brought back Mini instead and the new TR became the Z3. It was all speculation at the time. I don't know if there was anyone from BMW whoever confirmed that.

All joking aside, in 1979 here was proposed legislation to outlaw convertibles in the US. The drop head coupés were produced them stopped until the TR8 a few years later after the legislation was killed.
