If I could like ten times, I would. And I agree. I’m a fan. Hell, I own a 97 NSX, 14 MDX, a 2016 Model S, and took delivery of our 2018 Model 3. In the end, I want to see Tesla succeed. But the growing pains of trying to be a tech company go car/energy company has its strengths AND weaknesses. I would love to see more

Tesla always requires $2500 to configure the Model 3. They always have on top of the $1000 reservation deposit. All they did is open up the configuration for everyone waiting, except for the base model which still has not been produced yet. Am I missing something?

Ayrton Senna Agrees ... 190E:

So a bigger Tesla Model X similar sized 90kW battery does 257 miles of range and this does only 240 miles? And a Tesla Model 3 75kW battery does 310 miles of range? Jaguar may have made a better Car/CUV, but not a better EV. Glad to see other manufacturers stepping up though. Competition makes everyone better.

Land/Range Rover is not on the list. Theory debunked. I’m telling Doug.

Trucks and CUVs/SUVs are what everyone wants. Every manufacturer is making a full line up of CUVs to SUVs. Why the hell hasn’t FCA done that with RAM? It’s like 1990s when the Suburban was the only major SUV around.

So the brand known for its exhaust note will go silent... And increase sales at the same time. Either they are late to the show (2023?) and missed positioning a brand that literally started from nothing in volume OR they will kill whatever they have tried forever to build up in volume.

1) No one wants to go to a new car dealer that has 3-5 basic models. Ford, Toyota, etc have multiple vehicles under one brand’s dealership.

Having spent some time with ours, I can say the pads should be replaced with Unplugged Performance’s Sports Brake Pad Set ($350 for F+R). I would also recommend the Unplugged Performance’s Dual Rate Suspension Set ($335). Lastly, the wind noise is solved with RPM Tesla’s Windshield Wind Noise Kit ($29). I suspect

Exactly... is why I didn’t want another interim vehicle. Even if Tesla does not survive wall street, they accomplished making EVs relevant by showing car manufacturers that they don’t want dorky cars (think GM EV1) but normal cars. For whatever reason, every executive at a car company thought EV = Nerd Car. Today

Good question. I know Bloomberg tracks this in detail. But it is not shown on their Model 3 tracker website: https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2018-tesla-tracker/ Ultimately though, 30k cars have been built. When you count that only 2500 were produced in 2017, that means 27,500 built in 2018 and we have not even

LOL I wish. We had 3 cars that needed replacement. 1) 2007 Acura MDX with 200k+ miles 2) 2005 Acura RL with 160k+ miles and 3) 2004 Infiniti G35x with 260k+ miles. I was waiting on the Model 3 forever. Ultimately I saw the benefit of becoming a Tesla owner, by paying the least amount possible for a used one as the

I think the frustration is shared by a decent amount, but not a majority. And the fact is the reservations continue to increase even with those leaving. Loyal Fans/Early Adopters are the existing Tesla owners. Then its first come, first served in order of profit. And they could stay afloat by raising capital, but they

Who says you heave to be wealthy? I chose to get a loan for a $35k used Model S. Average New Car Price is around $36k for 2017.
I’m considering selling the Model S since I got the Model 3 sooner, which was the original purpose. But I like the Model S enough I may keep it since I drive 25k/miles+ a year and the savings

Supposedly since the brakes rarely get used, they went with super aggressive pads that had great cold bite but did not resist heat or fade well. Unplugged Performance already has a set of “Street” Pads to correct that. I think SSBL are next. Simple fixes I’m sure the Performance version will have over the “for the

Seeking Alpha has a ton of great info. This one I doubt though. I think Musk would want nothing with the tax rebate, and to prove even without them Tesla is desirable since that is what is in their near future. I also think that is why there will be a refresh to the Model S between Q3 2018 and Q3 2019 including a

You are correct, but a bunch of chatter expects 2019 with the air-suspension option. I also had the option showing “Late 2018.”

You are correct. But I don’t think it’s intentional. If he could have it his way, he would have hit 5,000/week before 2017 finished. And I’m sure he would much rather have that then be in this current circumstance of still trying to ramp up.
