I’m an officer in the military, working in the very short-staffed field of cybersecurity. I’ve taught at my service’s military academy and made quite a career for myself, even though I’m still fairly junior ranking. I’ve done well by any measure. I’m also an immigrant and a person of color.

“Didn’t like the results of the election” and being absolutely convinced that the results of the election were illegitimate are not that same thing. If you truly believed that the president wasn’t legally elected, wouldn’t an oath to defend the Constitution compel you to do something about it?

Jesus Christ, what is your goddamn point?

What the hell are you saying? Science is work done by PEOPLE. The same people you’re claiming are unreliable. Unless science exists in a realm beyond the fallibility of the people that create it? Is that what you’re suggesting? I honestly can’t wrap my brain around the contradiction of your chain of thoughts.

You probably don’t care much that these are clearly intelligent people.

but since becoming president, other than his string of extremely unnerving appointments, has backed off of all of these issues, even condemning the acts of hate crime out right that have erupted since his election.

Okay, so you came straight to the comments without reading correct? Every anecdote above says exactly this. Why even bother?

So your response to people saying one thing is that you’d like people to say another thing. Why can’t you simply listen to these people and their well thought out perspectives without trying to discredit or tear down what they’re saying? Are you incapable of even acknowledging that these are real people with real

This opinion illustrates exactly why we’re divided as we are.

So which is it? You want dissenting opinions to spark conversations, or you’re just looking for an article of dissenting opinions that you can tear down?

Pretty much every one of these anecdotes acknowledges that their viewpoints are in the minority among their fellow servicemen.

“Anecdotal evidence is meaningless. The last survey I saw”

Consider how the second phrase flows from the first.

You could. But you probably wouldn’t listen. As you seemingly haven’t done here. Whatever happened to just listening and hearing what people have to say?

Maybe? Probably? i don’t know the size of your organization or whether or not you consider cats people...

But rarely do people insist that other organization all have the exact same opinion on everything...you know like people do with our military.

These voices are important. because time and time again, assclowns like you tell us all veterans think the same way. All veterans act the same way. And not coincidentally...all veterans have the exact same opinion as you.

This is not meant to be a representation of all the military. That’s your game. This is meant to

Reminder: you didn’t click on an article titled The Case for Donald Trump Being Disapproved by the The Majority of U.S. Military Personnel

Of course it is. One of these entries says just that.

Oh, cool, I was looking for easy ways to invalidate their personal experiences.
