I don’t have the impression people are fawning over Caitlyn. I think they respect the courage she has but that doesn’t mean they consider her to be above reproach. Yes, there are a lot of stories right now that are focused on “repect[ing] the journey” but nobody is calling her a saint either.

I’ve never watched American Hustle. I hadn’t even watched the trailer until a moment ago and even though I’m intrigued by Bale’s character and Amy Adam’s mere presence in the film (god, I love her!) I have no interest in watching it.

I found the film bizarre and unappealing due to the age difference as well. It didn’t make much sense to me in the context of the story. In the movie she looks like she’s in her mid twenties and Bradley Cooper looks at least 40. The interactions that implied they were peers just made him seem like a manchild.

I’ve thought that too! Kids are more permanent. If you regret it you can get a tattoo covered up (or removed, although that doesn’t seem to work as well) but try ditching your kids somewhere and you’ll catch hell.

I need this information too! Tattoos seem to be a good metric for a personality, more so than interviews and gossip, so I find celeb ink pretty interesting.

They have amazing pants. I’ve shopped around a lot, trying a variety of brands, and not found anything that’s as comfortable, flattering, long-lasting, and breathable. Well, I’m an anomaly then. I have a fairly even split of male and female friends. Leaning more towards men, really. Even having a few male friends made me an outlier when I was younger so I’m invested in the idea that we need to normalize men and women being friends without sex being an issue.

I think this is why my feelings are mixed. I appreciate that she embraces female friendships and they seem genuinely supportive of one another. I still find it odd that she has no male friends (except Ed Sheeran, apparently).

That’s the impression I have as well. I enjoyed 1989, which was the first time I listened to her, and I appreciate a lot of her fashion choices. I think she’s clearly built a good brand for herself. I’m still skeptical about her as a person.
