I'm tempted to get FFX-HD. Unfortunately months before it was announced I had on a whim broke out the old PS2 and played through. I collected the butterflies, I dodged all the lightening bolts, and captured every monster; and as I did so I swore I would never do it again. Then they announced the HD remake WITH

I still need to play all of the DLC, I only made it mostly through Sunken Crown. I disagree with people who thought that DS1 had more story. I thought they were both similarly opaque, plus I enjoyed SPOILER: how DS2 suggests Lordran/Drangleic are the same place locked in an endless cycle of death, salvation, rebirth.

Damn, I've been hoodwinked again!

If only there was some legitimate game award to add another letter to the EGOT. (Although I don't know if they've EGOT-ed yet.)

Largely roaming free, except that time he got his nose stuck in a honey-pot.

Also yes.

Well, how else are they gonna keep the homeless people away?

I think it's a tough year as consoles transition from last-gen to current-gen. It's not really until the second full holiday season/year that a console really starts hitting its stride (I'm not counting the few months they were available in 2013 as a holiday season). Look at the WiiU as an example, while it may lag

I really enjoyed Fat Princess, I know there's rumors of a sequel coming, but I wish that community had kept going. Or perhaps I just failed to keep up with it.

I like Destiny because it gives me 30-60 minutes of solid, goal oriented gameplay per day. While there's a strong consensus that Destiny disappointed, is an incomplete game, failed, or should be joining the cohorts ready to be aerated by B.J. Blazkowicz; there's also general agreement that Destiny gets the shoot

I'd be curious if there was a policy to avoid overlap between writers. There are some absences on this list, notable and otherwise, (Dragon Age: Inquisition, Transistor, and Stick of Truth), that I assume we'll see tomorrow. My top 3 list would change significantly if I was the last person in the office to be asked

I already act out the scintillating comments with items on my desk. @duwease:disqus is my pen and pencil cup, @avclub-08ae6a26b7cb089ea588e94aed36bd15:disqus is my mouse, @snazzlenuts:disqus the phone, Girard the picture of my wedding, and @Drinking_with_Skeletons:disqus my stapler.

A break until 2015? But that dreadfully dull week at work between Xmas and New Years is when I need your irreverent, insightful, and entertaining writing he most. Along with all the scintillating comments that go with.

Agreed, it's why I usually log some time game pretty much every day. Hurry and get to 26 so we can go to Vault of Glass!

That really was the most depressing thing, and caused me to curse Destiny the most. Once the upgrade for the weapon I'd worked so hard to get along with the shards finally popped I'd have to go run around the damn Cosmodrome looking for spinmetal. Although I'm pretty much cursing Xur since my exotic armor is again

29 Titan on PS4 as well.

How far have you leveled up in Destiny? It does get grindy-er towards the end if you want to get your character up to level 28+. Part of why people have a problem is that it's in a large way time-based grinding a la leveling up in Eve Online. To level up your legendary gear you need ascendant shards or ascendant

No Man's Sky is definitely high on my hyped game list for next year. It finally looks like a game that can really make you feel the awe-inspiring vastness and diversity of space. Eve Online, creates that sense of scale and wonder, but your inability to directly fly your ship (or really do anything out of your ship),

I heard about this from my friend Hugh Manne.

Sounds like you just need a few shotskies. (Is that what the kids are calling them?)
