I’d say that’s a big reason for Mitsubishi and probably Amazon too honestly. Lyft came here for different reasons. Cost of living etc are big factors as well obviously.

I don’t know how long you’ve been gone, but there is very much a growing tech scene here. To be clear I’m not trying to be overtly critical of your comment. I’m sure they went to the highest bidder, but this area isn’t completely void of tech talent.
