The question is then how do these games and thematic events influence sales. I was just as willing to plop down money on some games on sale without a clicking shooting title for aliens or whatever however many sales ago that was. I don’t even remember other sales other than a simple summer themed one with just a beach

I think “Buy more games so you can win this cute metagame to be entered into a lottery to win a doctor’s appointment” would be more dystopian. This is just boring old consumerism.

That’s that's a very clearly vegan answer. Tell us how Superior you are again!

I don’t want it anywhere near the meat section (since I don’t eat meat). Whole Foods puts it in with the other soy and tempeh stuff which is fine by me. And because it’s almost always sold out when I go, it appears to be doing just fine.

Except it’s not meat.  There already exists a section of every grocery store that is dedicated to other not-meat.

But it’s a vegan cake. Who would shit on a cake that tastes like shit? It would be an empty gesture.

Now what could that be a euphemism for?

It’s a lose lose situation, but Moby was hanging out with Ewan McGregor which makes him come off cooler.

On the one hand, Crowe’s an asshole.

We’re not all playing the same game tho. Bezos didn’t come from a fantastically wealthy family, but they were wealthy enough to pay for Princeton and come up with $300k to launch Amazon.

this is the common refrain, and it is fucking horseshit.

Are you really going to stand your ground on the idea that Bezos is worth almost 200 billion because he’s worked so much harder than everyone else? I have no doubt he has worked hard, but to say that his wealth is directly tied to that is obviously nonsense.

but, you see, it isn’t the ‘exact same game we’re all playing’. some of us, with human emotions/feelings - like empathy- believe in helping other people in proportion to our means. we’re horrible monsters, i know....

It’s not “his” money. It’s a representation of rights which only exist because we all decided together it should exist.

Totally. Those are the only options. Bezos generously gives us a pittance of the money he only has because of all of us, or nothing. There is nothing else we can hope for with the money.

As a former gymnast, the fact that they’re trying to pass these off as a “kip” is just as insulting as calling them a pull up.

It’s not even a proper kip, any gymnast can tell you that. A kip requires you to swing under the bar, and then quickly and fluidly bring your toes to the bar while your hips remain behind it, and then using your momentum to shoot your toes up, and then down, while rocking yourself into a position on top of the bar. It

Considering what they try to pass off as a pull up, I am not shocked.
