Yeah, some people are not aware that the tesla can go nearly 300 miles on a charge and charging can take as little as 20 mins for 1/2 tank.

Thank you for the correction.
Your exactly right.
The tape was applied twice during the trip to save the paint job and reduce drag. The rain along the trip loosened it.
The car is very capable to making the trip loaded with luggage, while using AC and Heat. We use the car everyday, and made trips from LA to Florida. The reason we didn’t use it on this trip was to save electricity to make our over all time faster (i.e. we used all available juice for forward momentum) .
The very best part of owning a tesla is not paying for fuel. Even if you charge at home every day a fill up is about $3.50 vs 75.00 here in Los Angeles. If you put 10 solar panels on your roof you’ll get all the fuel you ever need free from the sun. The Supercharger network is free also...so every road trip will be…
Ha ha ha...I’m lucky to have someone that I can get along with on road trips.
shhhhhh....don’t reveal our plans for next time.
Its an application made by www.teslagrille.com. Whom provided the capital for six people to make a record attempt from LA to NYC, return, airline tickets, buy dinner, one way SUV rental for week, hotel rooms, fuel, snack, meals, drinks. Some people enjoy customizing their car.
Awesome graffice. Though the route on the map is wrong, not sure where that came from.....looks like our trip to Floridia last Dec.
All is fair in a cannonball. The orginal guys used : Fuel cells, radar detectors, Spotter planes, scanners. Anything that would give them an edge. Drafting or hyper-miling is tool that we used.
LOL
I tip my hat to John Harrison and all the original from the 70’s and 80’s cannonballers! I’m a true fan. 32 hours 7 mins is a great documentary on the subject.
Correct! The Superchargers charge the 1/2 of the battery really quick. The first half is usually all that is required to get to the next Supercharging station. Thus, making it quick to charge and get back on the road.
We only took what we thought could get us to the next location, without running out.... 30,000k bet. If you brick the car by running out of juice, you’ll likely need a new battery....not covered under warranty.
Thank you.
Guinness book world records requires 2 or more witness for the entire trip and video footage....the support vehicle is a necessary evil.
lol
How did this guy ever make it into office?
LOL
