Almost all of the GYN/OB practices I’ve been to have CNM on staff as well as doctors. Your insurance doesn’t cover it any differently. The cost of doulas really varies based on where you are and what services you want.

I think people are unaware that there are two types of midwives. Certified nurse midwives and lay midwives. A CNM has mandatory education, clinical hours. and training. A lay midwife has?
