Here’s a better analogy. You are talking to an average Gizmodo reader. Did you expect rational/unbiased commentary? Water is wet and yada yada yada.

The problem with this type of research is that the researchers classify individuals with predominantly plant-based diets as “vegetarian”, even if they eat some meat (or fish). You are not vegetarian if you eat any meat. Ask a vegan.
Lol. You read the paper?
Well, I never said that. I’ll thank you not to put words in my mouth. I never said either of these was science or pseudoscience.
If you wanted to compare good vegan diets to bad ones, you’d think you would start with a population of vegans.
As a vegetarian, I find these studies preposterous because they clearly reflect the biases of the lead researcher(s) (and possibly the sponsors) more than anything else.
I grew up with a bunch of Jain kids. Most of them ate chicken when out and about with us and then went back to pretending that they never touched meat when they got back home to their parents. It is safe to state that there is a difference between people stating that they never eat animal products and people who…
But scrapping the Minuteman-III will not only save money, it will show Russia, and other emerging nuclear powers like India and Pakistan that America is serious about non-proliferation.
Keeping a journal of your dreams is not the same as picking a card at random and drawing conclusions from the specific card you drew. I grew up with a lot of this bullshit in a country that is the source of a lot of this “eastern mysticism” bullshit. Tarot cards, astrology, palmistry, these are all bullshit. You…
And if I need to be an alcoholic to survive some pretty fucking intolerable circumstances, then (unless I get behind the wheel) that’s my fucking business.
I am worried about people dragging this idea of “no judgment” into every conversation about pseudo-scientific bullshit. If alcohol helps you deal with every “clusterfuck” you encounter in life then you are an alcoholic. If you look to pseudo-scientific bullshit to get through those “clusterfuck” situations then you…
The presumption is that we’re doing the talking (which is very American), instead of us actually listening to them. So the first thing to do is to hear where they’re coming from and meet them where they are
That tractor looks pristine. Was it taken from a collector? I have never seen an old tractor look that clean and untouched.
Give a quick look over the 14th amendment. The 13th amendment is also a good one, maybe give that a read.
Yes the party cares about equality. They also care about this crazy thing called the constitution. If you’re not familiar with it, I suggest you give it a look.
You don’t seem to know much about libertarian positions, you have demonstrated that clearly. But thanks for trying.
Gay marriage? Equality? Reducing military spending and involvement?
Vile replies by all... good show. Really winning me over so hard
So for example, viruses are not allowed in—hopefully, if you have a good strong immune system—and certain things are allowed in that go through “proper immigration.”
This is only for people who have never done this before.
