Also, using great or ultra balls seems to have no effect on capture rate. I’ve mastered curveballs, and always get them with “nice” or “great” throws, hitting the target every time (rarely miss), and I used up nearly 200 balls of various flavors in about 30 minutes trying to catch Pokemon last night.
