I don’t get why people unfamiliar with a hobby make odd statements like that. A quick look into aviation will reveal that flying to airport restaurants is an easy way to keep up their flying currency without investing too much time.

Yeah, since people need excuses to keep up their flying practice, flying out to an airport restaurant in another town is the stereotypical thing to do.

The problem is that they are offering decent power in those things. They will get up and go, but not necessarily in the most contolled manner. They’ll also suck more gas than a debate in the senate.
