I believe this is still from the era when you were allowed to pump in ozone dissolving freon to your heart’s content. A Wiki search says the auto manufacturers had until 1995 to stop using freon. I believe cars still have nozzles for charging, but you’re ‘supposed’ to be a certified mechanic to do so.

What do they all have in common? They were rushed out without anyone reviewing the script to verify that they have interesting stories. It has nothing to do with the orientation of any of the characters.

I hate when dealers post such high prices! When I was selling a clean Prius, three dealers posted them for $6,000, so I overpriced mine on the private market at first posting. In the end, it was a $3,000 car.

I suspect the dealer is trying the sales tactic of “anchoring”, where they ask an exorbitant price, and then the buyer thinks they are getting a deal when the price is lowered to more reasonable levels later.

As the batteries have started to come off warranty there’s been more noise here as well. It almost seems like they’re stealing the core charge on these

Yeah, I was less impressed until the pilot mentioned that the visual references are all changed in this instance. Also, getting it wrong would be painful.

Is THAT what they were doing?? Thanks for coming up with some kind of logical explanation.

Yeah, it’s surprising how badly people present their cars in their ads. This one makes me think the person is in love with the rear end. How many similar angles in different lighting and locations did we get?

This is a huge problem with Facebook marketplace. People just throw stuff up and expect that you’ll just buy it. There is too much data missing from many of their car ads.

If the person wants premium package pricing, I’d recommend they put that in the ad. Interesting to know that, though. It’s probably a case of ND for the seller, even if the car might not be too far off.

Agree. I’ll bet he was home schooled and has no idea how things work outside of his special community. That doesn’t leave him blameless.

Unless someone is lying about the sale price to save on taxes, I agree with you. Then again, I’ve been seeing the same kind of logic on Civic Si’s for the past 4 years. (No, I’m not going to pay $27,000 for a 2021 Civic Si with 20,000 miles! Yet, there are a lot of them posted with such used pricing!)

I agree. It’s a Porsche, so the options might have put this puppy as high as $150, but no options are listed in the ad, and aside from icons indicating heated and ventilated seats, we’re going to have to assume nothing else is on this. I hate the bare-bones nature of Facebook car postings.

I suspected as much, just from comparing its outside dimensions to a Panamera. That and the fact that I’ve never seen one with people in the back seats.

If you don’t remember, it was probably cold cereal. At least that’s the routine in my family.

It’s not about losing an hour of sleep. It’s about effing with your body’s circadian rhythms, which messes you up for at least 3 weeks after time change.

You can’t start a sovereign nation inside of another one, especially without permission. I have a suspicion that these people are home schooled and might not know that they actually live under American rules.

Thanks, but I’m good.

“Your conductor, Rod Sterling, welcomes you to Amtrack! Please stow your sanity in the luggage area.”

My experience ~15 years ago was different. We had basic sleeper ‘room’ on Amtrack to Texas, and when the air conditioning went out, and they ended-up putting us in a full suite. (Against regulations, I assume. They told us not to touch anything or use the shower.) Perhaps it’s because we had a 1.5 year old with us.
