Base engine for a Mustang has been a turbo-4 for several years now (no V6s). From what I hear on the forums it’s reasonably quick (and arguably better balanced than the V8s). Still, you want a V8.

Ha. Saw a couple at the tire shop today, getting new rubber.
The Brits call a trunk the ‘boot.’ So in England it would be a Froot.
The auto manufacturers are doing just that. Oh, and the car battery manufacturers as well (that’s why a lot of new batteries are shit). You have to go out of your way to find an American-made car battery—Deka—and they are worth the effort.
And our corporate overlords disagree with you.
Welcome to the LBC (Little British Car) Club! No need to apply, your barked knuckles and greasy fingernails grant admittance.
re: “I just laugh every time they play a Chevy family ad.”
I wouldn’t want to buy one of the last cars produced at a plant that is closing and firing 2,000 workers.
Side Note: One of my partners and I decided to fly our ancient Cherokee 180 to the Grand Canyon. On the way down, we spent the night at his aunt’s house. She worked for the Navy at China Lake programming the F-18 Hornet’s flight controls and told us the Hornets used Intel 8080 CPUs; this when, IIRC, the 486 was in…
This really makes me sad. Boeing, IMO, was the greatest US manufacturing company in history prior to the MAX. The first wildly successful passenger jet, the 707* and the ‘bet-the-company’ 747 that everyone expected to be a large white elephant but became the most graceful large aircraft ever made (I think the A380…
But ... But ... BUT ... IT’S GOT ‘THE BADGE!!!’
Betcha the board at Boeing is really regretting not making Alan Mulally CEO instead of James McNerny. Yes, I’m blowing smoke but somehow I don’t think Mulally would have stood for the half-assedness that is the 737 Max.
I’m a Commercial Pilot with about 680 hours. I haven’t flown for a few years due to circumstances, but what I can say to you is: Learn to fly. It will change you in ways you can’t even imagine. For one thing, you will want to do everything better.
re: “What about the buying more stuff part and the part about not stealing tech?”
GM: Please invest a few shillings in a good design chief.
The coupe DOES look (relatively) better; the oversized hardtop pulls your eyes from the hideously bulging wings (‘fenders’ to us Anglos).
IMO, the ‘57 was the best-looking Corvette (the last with single headlights and, IIRC, the first with FI--the throttle body type). About as understated as a ‘Vette can be.
Matt, thank you for having the courage to step up and say this; I’ve always felt the same way but knew I’d be publicly shamed for saying so. I’ve even known E-Type enthusiasts who admitted same but like the car because it was ‘the cheapest way to get 150MPH.’ I’ve even thought most Ferraris’ looks were overrated.
Can the Tesla Truck carry a couple of PortaPotties? If not, it’s a no-go.
I’d cut them some slack: we expect our Morning Shift by 1530Z or the natives get restless.
