You get MagnaRide? If so, it won’t feel like “like the tires simply fell out from under me” over potholes.

My Bullitt has MagnaRide, as do most.  Makes for a good DD, and I don’t track.

Tesla solar roof panels are catching on fire and burning Walmarts (Walmart is suing Tesla).  Not sure how to feel about that.

Well, there’s a road in Germany that was built on peat bog without deep piles to support it (it’s true, I saw it on TV). The results were predictable.

Now playing

Solar panel roads are a bad idea. Singing roads, however, are not:

I’m an old man (66), but I generally eschew doing old man stuff, like giving advice to you young whippersnappers, but I’ll make an exception. You have the right idea; keep your monthly fixed costs—the bills you HAVE to pay; i.e. rent/mortgage, utilities, etc.—to an absolute minimum. If you get a little extra, take

I wanted to star your post, but it was too close to approving of your travails.  Thanks for posting.

Had an Aviator pull up behind me at a stoplight yesterday, and I took notice. It was a greyish tan color and it really looked good.

My mom has a 2000 Lincoln LS with a 3.9L V8 (dad bought it; he died last year). Occasionally, the engine would stop cold, with no warning, usually at inopportune times (happened once when Dad was trying to merge on a very crowded and fast I5). Local mechanic replaced a couple coils but eventually I found an article

Have heard this called ‘helicopter noise.’

My brand new Mustang Bullitt has a really annoying one: On a hot day—common here in the Central Valley—after startup none of the ‘nannies’ (cross/rear traffic, backup assist, etc.) work and the gear display and drive options are unavailable on the fancy digital dash display. Apparently a thermal issue, as they come

They needed the little Italian guy--can’t think of his name--who’s a joy to listen to and would never pooch such an important (non-)sale.

You’re living in a rational world.  Our world hasn’t been rational for some time.

Your phone’s ‘clock accuracy’ is due to its time display being synchronized with GPS, which is about as accurate as you can get (barring wearing a cesium ‘atomic clock’ on your wrist).

That’s not a ‘typo;’ you don’t know the difference in meaning between the two words.

Not unless you can get this on “Fox and Friends.”

re: “... less in corporate taxes...”

The TPP would not have addressed these problems at all?

Think I heard/read somewhere that the battery packs, at least in some electric cars (Teslas?) are part of the chassis structure?  Having some kid swapping out a half-ton battery pack that has 24 bolts/nuts that have to be specifically aligned and torqued sounds risky to me.

re: “Neutral: Nope... not making any preparations. I’m in Canada so I’ll be fine.”
