Has The Turtle ever done ‘the right thing?’ Maybe accidentally, or if it happened to coincide with one of his schemes.

The California prison guards union does this sort of thing; that’s why we have so many prisons (and teenagers get 5-20 for a couple joints). It’s a major growth industry in much of California.

Do you think it’ll be as catastrophic as the industry experts predict it will be? Or will it bounce back?

“Nikola Tesla, the inventor, died pennyless as he was preocupied with inventing and not enough on making a profit for the inventions that worked, because he always had a new idea and his time was preocupied with that instead of focusing on developing the original idea.”

“Data is an over valued commodity.”

Beat me to it.

Looks like Firefox’s latest release is choking on the comments section; are the stylesheets in good working order?

Wonder how badly it’ll eat into Ram sales?

re: “You’d also have a property tax bill of $1,200.”

“I wonder if you can get a tan leather interior.”

re: “I’m old enough to have always been in RWD V8 vehicles (I will never own a FWD, 4-cylinder anything), and other than maybe the Charger there really are no cars that fit that bill anymore.”

No matter how well ‘pickled’ the car was some things will still age. Rubber components and seals will harden and crack, as will some of the plastic. The grease in the wheel bearings will harden; better go through all of them before you drive it. If you think you’re doing good by these garage queens by starting the

re: “That pump looks like the same mechanism as seen on garden spray tanks. Guaranteed to fail to pump after a season of being exposed to whatever it’s supposed to be able to pump.”

“Personally I don’t mind waiting for it to drip.”

re: “I only change the filter every other change”

Doesn’t all the oil on vertically mounted filters—with the openings on the bottom—drain down, giving dry starts EVERY FREAKIN’ TIME?!

I have that exact ‘Topsider’ extractor.  The seal in the cylinder stopped sealing after a couple years, the clamp on the flexible tube won’t hold vacuum--you can pump for days--and the rigid tubing cracked after a couple years.  Besides that, it’s wonderful.

Wow!  A six liter extractor!  Too bad my Mustang takes 10 quarts.

I have the exact same ‘extractor’ that he’s showing; it’s crap: the seal on the vacuum pump was shot after a couple uses, the clamp on the flex hose doesn’t seal enough to hold vacuum in the canister, and the stiff part of the the hose gets brittle and cracks in a couple years. Besides that, it’s fine.
