I live decently on a lot less than $2M/year. I’d live quite well on $2M.

Amazon barely/occasionally makes a profit but the stock market doesn’t care (so far). Netflix loses billions every year and the stock market doesn’t care. If Ford misses by a penny the market kills them.
“That includes a new Blackwing engine, a 550-hp V-8 in the CT6-V...”
Funny ... Priuii are always trying to beat me off the line so they can cut in front and make a right turn into Target 200 yards from the light. They win the first 20 feet--electric motors and all--then the 480 HP in my Mustang kicks in.
“... people either have less equity available to get an expensive SUV later, or they need to hold on to their vehicles longer than they normally would, decreasing sales frequency”
Excellent analysis. The artificial oil/gas ‘shortages’—triggered by an OPEC embargo—did create a recession, shit, when was it, back in the ‘70s (dating myself; yes I remember the lines and limits at the gas station). Now, low oil prices are harbingers of recession, due to lower demand.
“I want a show with Aaron and Edd.”
“So is he just never going to purchase any more vehicles anything when he realizes that every manufacturer industry out there goes through layoffs”
Only when he can’t find a Supercharger slot.
Yup. With a Voodoo and the 10-speed auto.
Well, D-Day was a bit of a clusterf*ck. Ask a paratrooper.
“The Continental was a monumental flop until Ford convinced people that you could only appreciate how great it was if you could spend even more money on it.”
1) Chevy will make fun of this in a new round of commercials
re: “... a Mustang driver is busy trying to remember to breathe...”
“Everything else I can live without, including a powerful motor or a manual.”
Ahhhhhhh .. F-101 Voodoo IIRC. Name the movie that had a couple of them towards the end.
New Mustangs come with a MagneRide option. At least 4 different driving modes; all pretty stiff but ‘normal’ is nice.
My new Bullitt has a cue ball; close enough. My ‘08 had an aluminum ball; that sucker got HOT in the sun.
re: “... Having to constantly hold the brake pedal against an automatic’s creep is FAR more irritating to me ...”
This X 1,000. I drove commute traffic in the SF Bay Area for years in a Mustang GT with manual. Just sit back 5-6 car lengths and let it idle in first; hardly ever have to shift (but you need torques). Yeah, people will be climbing up your ass, but they’ll do that anyway.
