Seems to be a Midwestern/Southern thing. California dealers don’t usually do this, but to be sure I get it in writing in the sales contract:

One question:  Why didn’t they use the 10-speed auto that Ford and GM co-developed?  It gets good reviews, and in a Mustang GT beats my 6-speed 0-60.

I dunno ... IIRC the ‘restomods’—every last one of them with a big block Chevy crate engine, lowered airbag suspension and obscenely large and ugly chrome wheels—seemed to hammer higher a few years ago.

You don’t get the deduction all at once, either; it’s amortized over (usually) 3 years. My dad restored the local FD’s old—circa 1919—pumper and donated it back the the FD for their museum (we had to have it professionally appraised to assess value for the IRS).

“... the first 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 sold for $1.1 million, which is going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation”

Ford called ... they want their Dark Highland Green back:

Doing my share (I had an ‘08 Bullitt, the new one seems to have a bit more blue in it):

Uh oh. I first heard about the ‘plasma arc liners’ after I bought my ‘19 Bullitt, and I didn’t like the sound of that ‘technological advancement.’ But, according to many commenters, the ‘tick’ predates that, er, ‘advancement.’

Got proof?

Thank you for your service.

Your mean followers?

Down counter would be more rhythmic but, good guess.

Hmmm ... getting oil to the cam tensioners quickly can be an issue. The 4.6L modular had a problem—exacerbated by people using too thick oil—where the tensioners broke due to not getting pressurized.

Um, no:

Cannot imagine any scenario where an oil change would cause this problem (unless they put salad oil in the engine).

I just bought a 2019 Bullitt Mustang; 600 miles and no tick (that I can hear; I’m pretty attuned to engine noises having flown light aircraft for a number of years). Maybe Ford added the ‘active exhaust’—noisy as hell in all modes—so people won’t notice the ‘tick?’

One of the reasons they lost WWII.

OK, but if they’re in Germany they’ll never be arrested here--or extradited—right? Or will the Germans arrest a few Americans as, uh, ‘leverage?’

‘Yuris?’  ‘Yaris’ crossed with ‘urine?’
