Counterpoint: yes, yes it does.

I’m not an F1 driver, so I can’t say with any authority, but that looks pretty obtrusive to me.
In the Merc video the base of the halo is so wide it blocks the entire pit lane!!
*waits for kimi to crash and blame it on the giant g string distracting him as it made him think of his wifes butt and not the next turn*
In 1973, Joe Girard sold 1,425 new cars, which according to Guinness is the most cars ever sold in a calendar year…
what precedent is NASCAR setting with this? A guy is being celebrated for making a chicken shit move because he drives the #3 car. Denny Hamlin nearly got murdered for doing this in a race last year. Why even bother leading a race anymore?
A Japanese magazine seems to have published a two-page spread of what looks like the new Toyota Supra, done up in…
Subprime auto lending has faced intense regulatory scrutiny over the past year, and one name that’s consistently…
I’m sure those models would appreciate you calling them an embarrassing anachronism. It’s always good to tarnish womens’ self esteem, especially after they land a modeling job that might make them proud of their self-image.
What you need to understand, is that Grid Girls are your problem. Not womens’ problem. Not F1's problem.
Agree 100 percent. F1 should get rid of everything that is not strictly racing. No more hospitality castles. No more post race interviews. No fans zones of any kind. Iffy on the podium and even TV crews.
being a model and getting consistent gigs, is in fact, a career. Taking away those opportunities lessens their ability to engage in said career.
No one is saying they need to stay. They are pointing out that it is analogous to modeling and most of the women probably enjoy their job. Who are any of us to fire them for being, gasp, offended.
I nominate you to personally, face to face, fire all said cheerleaders and grid girls, bc, you think it’s offensive.
I could make an argument that sports in general were created as a way for society to act out their need for dominance in a safe manner. People like to be winners and sports gives the opportunity for a large swatch of people to pick a side and win vicariously through the effort of others.
A girl I used to go to HS with is a grid girl for MotoGP (where they have a somewhat actual function as an umbrella holder, I guess). She absolutely loves it.
How about you just fuk off already? Who the fuk are you to determine what “Motorsports, or any other sport’s” purpose is or is not? That’s a consumer choice. It’s always amusing how willing certain segments of the population are to jump at the chance to impose their beliefs and morality onto a broad group of…
and “people” are stupid. I’d rather trust the niche lovers of the sport, then 100 million people that barely care and are more outraged over “omg sexy girls”
I googled “grid guys” to find where I had seen some race doing grid guys instead of grid girls, and I’ve now learned that apparently a grid guy is a brolly dolly.
I’m a huge F1 fan and my wife who is well educated and has ZERO care of racing will watch a GP with me every Sunday. She’s so smart that just when you think she isn’t watching, I will yell at the TV and she will actually correct me with the better strategy........
