I'd give this more stars if I could. Paterno is one of the smaller pieces in a very large case, and it's sad that people are madder at him than they are at any of the other people who committed and abetted crimes.

THIS IS ADORABLE. Every single time a pop star goes on sesame street my desire to have children gets a little bit stronger.

No. But the virgin birth is an essential part of a certain type of American fundamentalism, developed in the 20th century, that has usurped most of American Christianity's political will. For modern American fundamentalism, to reject any of its tenets (even minor ones) is to reject all of them as well as the Bible. So

Not to mention the fact that they post "resumes" of their pundits that consist purely of what teams they played on and no broadcasting/journalism experience whatsoever.

What I can't get over is that this guy hired a team of people and THIS was the best that they could come up with. They just inserted a mediocre slideshow into the plot of a shitty reality TV show pilot. I'm wondering if they just had the set left over from something else and convinced the beau to do an interview so

I would like to have a conversation with the person who thought it would be romantic to propose in front of a ton of people AT CHURCH.

As I understand it it's totally legal to ask ppl about their marital status, age, etc, but they aren't allowed to treat people preferentially based on any of those factors. Most companies avoid mentioning them to avoid the potential for lawsuits, but I don't think it's actually illegal to ask someone about age,

It's either God or Christopher Paolini, and I like to have words with both for what they'd allowed to happen in the worlds they created.

THE MAN HAD SOMETHING TO SAY. TOTALLY WORTH IT.

Am I the only one who constantly mixes up Oscar de la Renta with Oscar de la Hoya?

I had to have that explained to me too, don't worry about it.

Macaulay Culkin?

That's certainly part of the problem. People live in suburbs because big highways and city zoning laws make suburbs some of the most pleasant places to live. If we invested more in public transportation and pedestrian friendly areas, and less into 10-lane highways, people would live in a more environmentally efficient

There are a ton of easy solutions to this problem. Eliminating gifs, allowing commenters to flag a comment and make the image unseeable until approved by a mod, making the gifs blurred or grey until you click on them, setting a 30 day time limit before burners can post gifs and banning IPs on occasion.

Hey. I like that you emailed Denton. Do you think that if we all started emailing Denton every time a porn gif got posted instead of help or mods or whatever, he might start taking the issue seriously? I think a few hundred emails every day might help him get the message.

I am of two minds on this. It is a really ironic form of expressing piety. Specifically because on the receipt it says, "Praying in public." It's literally rewarding you for violating a commandment. It's just one more thing that buys into the embattled mindset that "they've taken God out of our schools and

There are lots of date rape songs in country music. They call them "Love Songs."

This is amazing. He photocopied his junk. That's old school sexting right there. In relationships: a douchebag. In douchebaggery: a pioneer.

Right. He's not sorry about what he said. He's sorry you "misunderstood" what he said by thinking that his words kept their normal meanings. And he's sorry that there are consequences for his actions.

I'm a minister, and on this particular issue, my views fall more in line with the Satanic Temple than with the Supreme Court ruling.
