Reading this article I was thinking the exact same thing...

The posts and comments by anti-choicers make it pretty clear that their goals are not to prevent abortion, but to make sure that people are punished for having sex. That's stupid, unChristian, and wrong.

If having two first names means you can't be trusted, I can only assume that having two last names would define you as exceptionally trustworthy.

My partner's in the same place and debating whether we should stay. To stay is to fight a losing battle against state politics to actually care for the poor and vulnerable in our world. But if we go somewhere else we might actually be allowed to make a difference, and giving good care wouldn't be illegal or dangerous.

I'm another happily married individual who had those same concerns and chose to stay. A big enough part of me knew that trying to play the field wouldn't be as satisfying as I think, and that lightning doesn't strike twice. It was definitely the right decision for me.

I know a lot of people who hunt so that they can have meat in the freezer for the winter. I also know a lot of people who lease out land to people who hunt for sport so that they can pay for prescriptions. It's made me look at hunting a little bit differently.

I just moved to a small town part-time. And let me tell you they know everything about you, and everyone is always paying attention. I don't think that Lakeland is that small of a town (maybe the mall is small?), but I definitely know where that level of scrutiny does exist.

I was really trying to say that there are spaces within Christianity in which scientific investigation are valued. It's just that they don't often advertise themselves as Christian to avoid being associated with the crazies.
