Ready the ban hammer...

What a crock. 150 times lighter than helium, give me a break. The balloons are actually spun carbon fiber shells full of vacuum (which is MORE than 150 times lighter than helium) 18 nanometers thick. This provides about 200 grams (7 oz or .44 lb) of buoyancy.

Those clever Ikea types. Who would have dreamed that it is possible to put a TV and a sound system right into furniture? And to think in 2 years when some of the electronics are obsolete you get to either try to splice in a new TV or toss the whole works and start over.

How about a "Bayer" grid made of ND filters instead of color filters. A grid with clear, 2 stop, 4 stop and 6 stop cells. Think about that dynamic range!. Ansel Adams would have indeed have loved that!

I have to assume the bag is empty at the beginning of the fill process. If so the bag can't explode. Burn very violently but not explode. Ever see the film of the Hindenburg? That was pure H2, more flammable than methane (natural gas). I'd have no qualms about carrying it as long as it was not attached to me in

My first thought was that this is a brilliant scheme to charge the Dev's for bandwidth that in nearly every case would be sent to someone who was no where near their data cap. That amounts to selling both ends of the same hot dog.

I almost gave up before I got this far into the comments and posted the exact same concept. Classic double dipping. 90% of any bandwidth funded by this scheme would have been included in someone's monthly allotment ($0 for ATT). They can offer the "toll free" for insanely low prices and still generate a profit on a

Brought to you by the same fine folks who rootkitted thousands of people's PCs secretly. What a shock.

What do you expect from a country that invented "Spam, spam, spam, eggs, and toast" for breakfast?

@cdwalker: MOST glove box lights are switched on the GROUND side. If you add a parallel circuit just BEFORE the bulb it will work perfectly. On the off chance that the power circuit is switched you can still get 12v power at the "hot" side of the switch.

HDR video? Both camera's seem to have the exact same point of view. I have to assume the mirror is "half silvered" (commonly referred to as a 2-way mirror). The only thing that makes sense in to have one set 1 or 2 stops high and one 1 or 2 low. Post process for HDR?

Phobe Figalilly is a silly name for a Toyota. I guess you'll want us to call you Professor from now on.

New prime directive:

Of course they are fake. They gave up after they saw...

@Live N Learn: I never said it wouldn't hurt. The previous commenter seemed to fear broken bones and severed limbs. No way these cables are going to cause life changing injuries.

Another interesting thing about the mechanism is that it would drive the bike forward when the pedals were turned EITHER direction. Not sure if that is an advantage but it would look cool.

Everyone is missing the point. The cam's allow the ratio (gear) to change with crank position. Think shifting to a higher gear when the pedals are level and the torque generated by the legs on the crank are at maximum, then shifting to a lower gear as the crank goes across top/bottom and the legs can not generate

VMware player with a non-persistent hard disk image does the trick for me.
