Yahoo doesn't support TOTP (Google Authenticator style) auth tokens, they only do SMS or SMS/Security Question style 2-Factor. So you need to have a phone number attached to your account to activate it. I consider that a major failing of their 2 factor implementation. I don't always have a phone signal in places

It worked for me just now so I'm not sure. However, I am getting that error message intermittently while updating other parts of my profile (that Yahoo account is almost 14 years old now and the last time I edited the account information was 2003).

Another method would be to use the app Authy, which has the capacity to store TOTP (Google Authenticator style) tokens for use across multiple devices. The tokens are encrypted on the client side so you aren't giving away your codes to anyone and its UX is so much better than Google Authenticator.

The added publicity may be an issue but this app has been around since at least 2009 on Android. I didn't know about the iOS version until I read gchance's comment but I'm not sure if it'll be going anywhere anytime soon.

I make minor grammatical or spelling fixes pretty often. My compulsiveness even caused me to learn how Wikipedia does tables to fixed a badly formatted one once. I don't know what pages some of you were editing to be instantly reverted for minor errors but none of my minor edits have been reverted. It may be a

I'm with BobVealAhh, I can see I-69 (just outside of Flint, Michigan) from my bedroom window, growing up so close to it I didn't even get the jokes until I was in high school and, surprisingly enough, none of the 'adult entertainment' locations around here even try to use it as a prop.

I remember that I got my first phone (a Motorola T-720) in April of 2003 while I was a senior in HS. It cost me $300 plus tax on Cingular and my bill was about $50/month for 450 minutes, 200 SMS, and 5 MB of data. The funny thing is that now I pay about $86/month for 750 minutes with unlimited SMS/MMS and data plus

Oftentimes there's a maximum output amperage across all ports. So, if you want more ports, the amperage needs to drop accordingly. So if you have one 2A port, a couple of 1A ports, and two more 0.5A ports; you have a total of 5 amps for the device. Otherwise, if you plugged in 5 devices, you'd only get one amp out

For some reason IE 10 eats about 1.5-2 GB RAM every time I open it on my system. No clue why but it does. I know that I have fewer add-on's installed in it than I do in either Chrome or Firefox (most of them IE versions of the ones I use on Chrome and Firefox). It just does. I do accept that it is much better than

I went and opened my copy of IE, which I only use to figure out if a site is simply incompatible with Chrome/Firefox or broken altogether, to and finally got around from changing its homepage away from the recently deceased iGoogle to http://www.internetexplorertan.com/home for the hell of it. While I still won't move

The NCAA did hit him with a 'show-cause' which, as the article notes, normally makes a person unemployable for the duration but, he already has a new job so unless SIU fires him before the two years is up, he's good.

That's primarily because what the boosters are doing is against NCAA regulations but it's not illegal and, since many people see college athletes as an exploited group, most people see helping them out a bit as not immoral either.

I'm very surprised that no one's said this yet, he put down 450 GB Pounds on this not 450 US Dollars. That's $724.82. The way that consoles are priced in certain areas is really out of whack.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Good thing I didn't print this first ^_^

Since Nintendo pretty much showed here that they can't actively police individual messages on this service shouldn't that let them off the hook for liability? I'm pretty sure that it would in the United States, but what about elsewhere?

Hmm...know what I've never drawn a picture of genitalia. I'm a 28 year old male so it wasn't from lack of know what male genitals look like. However, I do believe that the service provider should generally stay out of the way of the transmitted data. Playing police is the fastest way to be found responsible when

I got INTJ Introvert 89% Intuitive 25% Thinking 88% and Judging 56% Like cyprusxr2, I'd also like a bit of information about the percentages if you would ^_^

There are laws covering reckless driving. If someones texting causes them to drive recklessly then they have broken a law and should be ticketed for doing so. We do not need laws defining things that are already covered. If someone is texting and not driving recklessly then more power to them. That being said, I
