My main question is, "How long until we have the technology to store significant amounts of antimatter?" That would be a weapon that could be planet busting in relatively small amounts.

I have to admit that it looks suspicious. If I were the agent I'd call in someone more knowledgeable to check it out. My laptop bag is a rats nest of various cables and such so I've gotten the strange looks on occasion concerning the wires when my bag goes through the x-ray scanner.

Picture fail?

I'm sorry for the off-topicness but I must say that the line: "Looking the blitz loop this planet to search away / Only my Railgun can shoot it imasugu" just about takes the cake for most Engrishy line in an animé title song this millennium. Normally I can look at a translation of the surrounding Japanese text and

I haven't watched it yet but, it's not incest related at all.

Only because it was far too sad to see her insanity come out to play when you picked the only other 'date able' human girl. Man, in reality I'd probably stay out of pity even though, as an adult, I know that'd be a horrible reason to do so.

Shinji gets a BIT better and the other characters and the plot make up for it. Shinji's unmanly behavior is a major part of the series though.

Now that I've heard this description, I may have to watch it again next weekend ^_^

Interesting, looking at the agreement again all I think that I'm allowed (or not disallowed) to say is that I got the beta invite today. Actually it just finished installing and I'm about to try it out ^_^

I wouldn't say most but at least one-third of the mic'ed people I've heard are, or at least sound, like they're under-thirteen.

To hear that voice try to sing *THAT* song at the end...was hilarious ^_^

I avoid the loop by reminding myself that my emotions need not be logical but, my actions should be ^_^

I was actually thinking about sending myself stock tips but this would be a better idea. If I sent my 18-year-old self information about the winner of the triple crown races with all positions I could bet one months pay on each race and never work again ^_^

The poll with information about all five programs was put up on the 29th. I ended up using Mixology a bit on New Years Eve.

Swim goggles do this by simply putting a layer of air in front of your eyes.

I read the Fortran code to show which years would have the extra week...it was quite complex for a dating system. Also, their 'just celebrate your birthday whenever' idea for people who'd have non-existent birthdays doesn't really work for governments although you could just take the day number of your birthday (i.e.

Yeah, I pretty much see this one as a shut up the political dissenters law. Remember that this is Belarus, a country with a president that has managed to, since being elected in 1994, change presidential term limits from 5 years, to 7 years, to abolishing them altogether. This does not seem like a very good climate

That's part of the point of this calendar (I've just come back from reading a bit more of the source). The standard 365 day year is 52*7+1 days long. A 364 day year is the only way to keep the days of the week from progressing as they do now. However, this causes the seasons to progress a bit faster than otherwise

The linked calendar explains that. You'd add an extra week in the years: 2015, 2020, 2026, 2032, 2037, 2043, 2048, 2054, 2060, 2065, 2071, 2076, 2082, 2088, 2093, 2099, 2105. I'm not going to bother finding the pattern here right now though.

It took a couple minutes but I eventually got it ^_^ Good one!
