    To be fair, it is packing 50hp more than the XJ220, and is 0.3sec quicker to 60, but does weigh a bit more, putting it at 344hp/ton compared to 369hp/ton, and is ~12mph slower flat out. Not exactly sure what point I’m making here, just thought I’d run the numbers.

    my knowledge of motorbikes and Australia is lacking in this area, but I did find out that bicycles in Europe have the brakes the other way round to those in the UK. and by “finding out”, I mean my colleague found out, while carrying a folding chair and trying to kick the back wheel out...

    I was going to comment on that too; it’s an impressively subtle job, and a neat way to show the lineage. 

    It’s an existing class of vehicle in france,  and has been for a pretty long time. There’s nothing new in that.
