A while ago, I posted some information from Reddit on Tomica cars returning to the US this year. Now, we have (semi) official conformation on when and where.
Looks like I know what I’ll be doing come November. Seriously, this looks even better than I imagined!
You read that right, folks! Hot Wheels is doing a Volvo, and not just any Volvo, one of the iconic ‘Flying Bricks’, the 850.
For real. Tomica is coming back, once again. This was posted by an actual TOMY North America employee. They will start shipping in July, retailer(s) expected to be announced soon. They will be starting with models from their regular 120 model lineup.
This is NOT, I repeat, NOT a drill. Simba Dickie Group has announced today that they have acquired Los Angeles, California based toy manufacturer Jada Toys.
The new year has begun, and we’re starting to see some great new diecast scheduled for 2019. Now, Majorette is starting to show off some of that as well.
It’s another sad day for Hot Wheels collectors today, as another wave of Kmart and Sears locations have been announced to be closing as part of announcing they will be filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
There is SO much more on the horizon. FK8 Type-R, NA Miata, Z32 300ZX, Gulf Laurel, R30 Super Silhouette, S14 240SX, and some more scrumptious City Turbo II.
So, T-Hunted has more pics of some 2019 A Case models, this time on short cards. I’ve noticed some interesting things:
That’s right, we’ve got a double whammy of HW news today.
...and T-Hunted really has the edge on things. Today, they posted pics of six upcoming 2019 models that will appear in the A and B cases.
This was shared by The Lamley Group earlier today. This (aside from the Unimog, which was already out and is part of Series 2) is most of Series 3.
Get your 510s and Zs ready. Because Greenlight is getting ready to introduce the perfect companion for them...
This is mainly for those who missed last night’s presentation and those who simply want to get a better look at what’s coming.
Greenlight is introducing their first ever 1:64 scale wheel and tire packs. They’ve done wheel and tire sets for 1:18 scale cars before, but this is their first attempt at the 1:64 scale.
Seems Greenlight is further expanding their lineup...which already includes large International trucks, licensed towable camper trailers, heavy duty pickups, TV and movie cars/trucks, and licensed police vehicles...to include farm equipment!
Matchbox’s Custom Contest is back, and the prize for the top 15 entries this year is a raw, disassembled Nissan Xterra!
Judging by the responses to this post on The Lamley Group’s Instagram, most collectors went to Target today and had an experience that was far from what they expected.
Seems the specific details of this Saturday’s Collector Experience at Target are out, and the apparent confusion of whether it starts at 10am or 11am is now solved.
No longer will collectors need to worry if their local store will be in business long enough to hold a Collector’s Day event.
