I golf all the time, I’m not too bad actually. One of the places I frequently golf is near an airport and its never really effected me. I think that is why I feel the way I do. I can hit a golf ball no problem. You could give me 1,000 tries and I wouldn’t be able to hit a 90 mph+ major league thrown pitch.

Good points. If it is such an issue why don’t the players just wear ear plugs? A good off-the-shelf set will reduce the sound levels of a rock concert to the sound levels of a normal conversation.

I agree, so maybe the answer is not to expect silence from a crowd that numbers in the tens of thousands. Golfer could train for this just like NFL teams do. Hitters in baseball train in batting cages without crowds and still manage to do it in games.
