shut the fuck up and stop being such a kiss up. THE FEATURE IS DAMN WELL NECESSARY TO THE GAME! You think Ash can find a pokemon if it doesn't make noises or leave clues! Hell no it might as well be an invisible ghost. You would get that reference if you are a true pokemon fan. Now yes it will be fix but in the mean

People were only “cheating” in the first place in order to track Pokemon, a feature that is supposed to be in the game. With no tracking method available now, the game is a completely different to when it launched a couple of weeks ago.

More to it than that. Lots of people were using Pokevision to get around the problematic trackers in game. At my work, five of us looking at the tracker would show completely different creatures on the tracker while standing next to each other.

Forget that talk, Deadpooli0. The problem isn’t that we want the easiest experience possible. It’s that they went from the trailer, which showed us the actual distance it takes to reach a pokemon we were tracking, to a tracking system that used steps to signify closeness and still never worked quite right to just a

Im sorry, but instead of wasting my lazy behind in an area that doesnt spawn anything more than pidgy and zubats I’d rather waste my time in an area that is known for spawning better more worthwhile pokemon. I would much appreciate an application of sorts that helps me find those locations in my third world country

One can explore while having a general idea of where they’re going. Again, the 3-step navigational function is a feature in the game. It’s (currently) not working. Naturally, people would be upset. Is this surprising you?

I can go out and walk for an hour (or bike an hour and half out and back, for example) and find maybe 5 or 6 things, if I’m lucky, that aren’t the same ultra-common bird/rat/bug combo that are literally everywhere.

Or.. Just or.... That functuality was supposed to be there and they could never get it to work.. Considering the steps were supposed to show you how far the Pokemon were from you...

You know those pidgeys you don't want to bother with are the best way to level up.

Some of the funnest moments I’ve had playing PKGO have been the times I’ve spent running across the university campus in the middle of the night with my friends because something cool spawned and only had a few minutes left.

Compare that to the first time I played this game, where I wandered around my neighbourhood for

About that. Pokevision was a way around the 3-step glitch for many a player. Would some still use the map even if the glitch were nonexistent? Sure. But now that neither the map NOR the 3-step are working, that’s crippling the actual gameplay regardless of how you look at it. It’s one thing to wander outside with a gen

Biggest issue is them asking 3rd party tracking sites to shut down before fixing their own tracking, which has annoyed a lot of players, it is impossible now to search or track a pokemon and if you have no means to find pokemon, there is no point to the game.

Niantic was no different with Ingress back when they were much smaller, they’re terrible towards communication with players.

Are you faulting players for feeling mislead because features that were present in the app at launch have been removed at a later point without warning?

The game became far more popular than they were prepared for, and this turbulence is the result. You’re absolutely correct in that they need to have someone designated to help communicate with their community, as the small-dev silent treatment doesn’t work when you’re the app of the hour.

Niantic has been terrible at communicating with its players. Maybe literally taking money out of their pocket will send a message that they can’t ignore.

Yet another in a long line of “small company with very specific vision that refuses to compromise” vs. “large fanbase with totally different vision.”
