question: how come old racing tires always seem to have grooves?
This car with a competitive engine layout could have been a giant killer. I was so glad to see it return with Pescarolo, and while it was painfully slow and unreliable, it looked even better.
Damn, I came here to post this too with the exact same comment. This was the prettiest version too, before the T1B with the redesigned side pods. Since I'm here, I'll throw my picture up too... never can have enough of a good thing.
Dome S102. Not a winning design, but one of the quickest petrol car to Audi's diesel. Devil is in the aero details.
More pictures of the W202 that I'd like to share:
Ok, I'm done.
A few suggestions:
The 1994 Ferrari 412 T1. The prettiest racing car of the last 20 years, period.
But isn't it amazing that they still accelerate just as fast? Noise is wasted energy. F1 has an identity problem. Do you go for the noise or the performance? Is it vintage racing or technology racing? Open wheeled cars are horribly unaerodynamic yet they continue to be used in F1. I'm more amazed at the new engines…
The barbarian invasion of the civilised world. Frightened the fuck out of the Middle East at the time.
I always thought the Katyusha platform was pretty terrifying, if only for the dual personality of the thing. It was built on a civilian truck platform, and trucks are friendly things right? Except with the Katyusha, where the windows are replaced by heavy armor plates with narrow slits. The outward appearance is of…
Ekranoplan update coming soon BTW!
Ekranoplan, like you had to ask
People for years bitched and moaned that turbo F1 was gone and should come back. They complained and whined that some of the best generation cars were from turbo F1. Now that it's finally back, with even more tech than any F1 car ever, guess what everyone does?
Complaining about how an F1 car sounds is like complaining…
Almost anything with the Vector name on it....
Can we sick Greenpeace on PETA for daring to suggest that Google send fleets of Jeeps to trample a potential habitat for wildlife?
So..... we should use cars to drive around in the desert. Polluting it with emissions and leaked toxic fluids from bumping into rocks and driving over small creatures too slow to move out of the way. That's much better.
That's the one time I think 4Chan is being set up. Several posters on /pol/ expressed agreement with Emma's speech, particularly because it didn't demonize men, as is the usual complaint about feminist speech.
One kid, or even one group of kids != 4chan. The entire point of the site is that they're not some sort of collective hivemind. They don't hire writers, they don't vet posters, it's just a place (or more accurately, 50+ themed places) for people to hang out. An unknown number of the people who posted rape and gore…
