She's not that kind and pleasant to her sister actually, but blowing up at Marie is understandable when one is under stress. Actually, is there anyone in the show who doesn't blow up at Marie when under stress ?
(ah, this might be why Holly is her favorite…)

I don't have an opinion on whether that's in-character or not, but it occurs to me there might be a parallel with Lydia - she thought the worst thing that could happen was disappearing and her daughter thinking she'd left her, while Mike seemed to think her finding her mother's body would be worse (of course he

And Saul does suggest that they took all the money, when he talks about how it's happened to Mike twice now.

I sort of agree, but then again… For one thing we aren't comparing the 35% to the whole of what they make otherwise; at the moment they're spending a percentage of their income on cooking, which they wouldn't with Walt's arrangement.

Walt's been treating Jesse this way for most of the show. I actually thought this episode he was positively nice to him compared to how he treated him at times in Season 4 - complimenting him on his cooking skills and everything. The main difference is that this time Jesse recognized the manipulation for what it is.

And he assaulted her back in Season 1 was it ? The Cucumber Facial Incident.

YES JESSE YES YES YES
That conversation between him and Walt was amazing, you could see Walt pulling all the same strings he's pulled on Jesse before, but this time you could see in Jesse's face that he saw the strings and wasn't being taken in anymore. You could tell he wasn't quite all out yet - he kept trying to

That's a good point, I'd never thought to parallel Walt's time at the
car wash with his time at the SuperLab, and those definitely went bad
on… different scales :p but there might be something there.
