The series has left the books behind in such a way that it’s much easier to accept it as a separate piece of entertainment from those that inspired them.

Tommen is so adorable. I've only read up to the third book, but in them he's always sweet but rather forgettable. Here the actor and the scene with just him and Cersei (AWWWWW) makes the difference I think. I hope you are not kidding about the Long Rule of King Tommen ! Although knowing GoT, by the time he's old

I dunno about "best in the series", but certainly the best in awhile. Even all my gripes about how they're changing the plot couldn't stop me from thinking it's the most beautiful thing I've seen in awhile. Amazing episode.

Have you seen all of those already, or none of them ?

One of my favorite moments : when Troy makes a comment about Colonel Sanders and Gilbert. The Chicken Man Lives !

Abed has kids that go "cool cool cool" in a kiddy voice ! That's ADORABLE !
He has them work in his mines ! That's…! um.

BOOK SPOILERS GALORE
I am increasingly confused at what this show is doing. I love the TV show, and I don't think the books are Uber-Perfect-Must-Not-Be-Messed-With or anything, so I want to trust that this is all going somewhere that makes perfect sense, but I'm starting to find that difficult.

I'm hoping the next season opener will be Ted shaking himself out of it
in a "what am I DOING?" moment, turn around and bring Victoria back.
Don't get me wrong, I like Victoria, but it's just such a douchey thing
to do to everyone at that reception.

Hahaha ! I watched "Nationals", and I really really enjoyed it. I liked the performances, I liked their energy, and even all the Celebration Moments that I would normally feel were over the top managed to somehow feel earned (even those my thinking brain will agree absolutely WEREN'T earned, isn't that right Will

Also, I thought that last conversation Rachel had with Quinn didn't make her feel better about herself at all, or at least shouldn't have. It was almost caricatural how Rachel tied her positive feelings about Quinn to her wheelchair. You know, forget the fact she has positive feelings towards Quinn BEFORE the accident.

Maybe the theme of this season is supposed to be, “Everybody should be given exactly what they want, because that’s nice!”

Don't be sad, Rachel…
PENGUINS ARE THE BEST BIRDS !

You know, I really liked the very first scene. It reminded me of Rachel's similar monologue in the pilot, and as a sciencey type I really REALLY loved that stellar extended metaphor.
