The Calvets speak a language that deliberately keeps Don out of their conversations.

@finnitastic : I'd missed that, thanks.
Pretty sure of it too. But I'm also pretty sure by this time in the book rumors about him were already all over the place (in fact the people who caught Arya and co were looking for him), and the show hasn't brought him up since the last time that mission was referred to IIRC.
BOOK SPOILERS :
You know, I'd noticed it before but now it's really dawning on me that Lord Beric has been completely written out of the show. And Arya's talk about how Robb can't be killed - That was Beric's thing !
Does that mean Robb will be taking Beric's place in other ways as well ? (that would be a HUGE…
I'm more worried about the loss of Weasel Soup. They can NOT take that out, surely ! It's such an important part of her character development.
I loved Harrenhal when it showed up on the map in the intro. Unlike all the others, it's doesn't move or grow at all. SO CREEPY.
I like that the show plays Abed letting Annie use the wrong
imaginary implement to undo his imaginary shackles as a major emotional
breakthrough.
Kurt and Mercedes didn't pick up on Wade being transgendered right away, they didn't think she should wear a dress at the show, and when they talked about it more later Kurt said something to the effect of "I wear fabulous stuff all the time but I've never actually worn women's clothing", to which Wade (rightly)…
It's really all the more ridiculous given the year it is and their audience… did they really think people wouldn't notice ? It actually disturbed me. When they showed the video I expected Mercedes' next line to be something like "you didn't publicize this much did you ?" and instead she said… gaah I can't even think…
Cathy001 : And why isn't Schuester worried about Britt's future?
This. It's not like any of the actual teachers on this show have demonstrated any kind of ability in the field either.
I agree; I was to some extent mindlessly repeating stuff I'd read, but thinking on it more I realize it isn't true. We don't have a Margaery POV in the books and don't see much of her, but the little we see of her and her family is absolutely consistent with what we saw of her in this episode.
That said I haven't read…
TIME'S RUNNING OUT ????
Wow Todd response, I've Arrived \o/
1000 comments, and how many of them are about how Todd GOT KEN'S STORY WRONG OMG OMG ?
You know, I was happy about the excision of Arya's storyline too (if you're going to do story surgery, I thought this bit was well-done. I'm sure nobody who hadn't read the book would notice something was missing), but then you had to remind me of Weasel. Now I miss her; the baby girl who just got… forgotten in a…
I might have to re-listen to that Jeff speech, but I didn't at all get the message they portrayed Blade's lack of shame as something to aspire to; quite the opposite it was supposed to be the reason he treated Britta so badly. Unless you think treating Britta badly is a enlightened state…
Oh, so THAT's where I'd seen him ! I was wondering.
To be fair, in my dreams it's rare for "little details" to be off. It's usually a whole mess of off-ness which I just take in stride because dreams are like that. Even with lucid or semi-lucid dreams.
I don't think dreams can be represented very well in film at all. That doesn't mean films can't try, or that they…
Plus, she got Roger to buy her off. That's got to be a rite of passage this season.
