The words,"we’re about to make history right now" and "now we're three days later they're still talking about it", don't make sense. That untouched statement can stay there for future historians to chuckle at.

Thank YOU. It is a motherfucking crime that Lafayette has not been a featured player on this show. Damn!
You’re thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn't even think about it, 'cause that's just me.
The show had so much potential, and they threw it away. The characters rarely seemed to get anywhere and then a season would be over. This is a shame since many of the cast members are talented.
They literally drove a nail in this coffin somewhere around the time they started introducing shapeshifters and faeries. If they had just stuck to vamps and voodoo, this show could have went out on top. They really wasted the talents of Lafayette, Tara and Pam this season.
Someone honestly tried to tell me that they knew actual, alive women plural who find Bill attractive. I was like "No, you mean the blond guy" "no, Bill the guy who goes 'Suhkeehh' instead of 'Sookiee' " and I'm like "are you sure you don't mean the werewolf? He has dark hair too." "No, the 'Suhkehhh' guy!" and I just…
We don't. At least not in brick and mortar stores, all the shameful tents for us fatatrons are sold via internet.
The idea that they would care about their hair while they're in fucking space advancing humanity as a whole is the kind of talk people use to discredit women astronauts.
I don't think anyone SHOULD be a big fan of abortion. Sure, be a fan of abortion rights ... Support women in their right to have safe, legal access to abortions. Defend the legal protection and etc.
I'm okay with her saying that - I would say a majority of people aren't out there saying that having an abortion is an easy choice, or that they are massive fans of the act of abortion. Even the pro-choice side argues that it's about having a choice, not about having more abortions. There are also lots of people who…
I am just so full of rage. :( The whole situation is messed up (how a rapist got off easy because he's famous, horrible and quite fitting of our rape culture), so the least I would expect from a feminist website's writers would be shaming the rapist and saying empowering/empathizing things to/about the rape victim.…
She literally went to the "she looked and acted older than she was and was experienced for her age and maybe she wanted it" line of reasoning that's been decried so loudly around here this week. Again, this happened while talking about a 13 year old who was drugged and forced to have sex against her will.
That is exactly it! they are testing boundaries, like how young children misbehave! it is how humans develop! This is the same kind of argument as cheating. If I tempt someone married/in a relationship it's on me, right? Not on the person in the relationship who has made the commitment... Same kind of argument. Sure…
And it would have been rape even if she had been 40 at the time. She was drugged, and she said "stop". EITHER of those means rape.
Bingo.
I was so rage-filled, I couldn't succinctly say what I should have. Thanks for doing it for me.
Also from the original article: "If religious leaders and heads of state can’t keep their pants on, with all they have to lose, why does society expect that members of other professions can be coerced into meeting this standard?"
Considering the fact that the UK government refuses to entertain rent-capping and unscrupulous landlords (lots and lots of them) are raking it in because of this, he probably deserves the extra expense anyway.
I was thinking about how I never get my nails done (I like them short) and my hair I like it natural. My eyebrows. Minimal makeup. All that.
Not to mention the story a month or so ago about the modeling agents looking for girls at ED clinics in Sweden.... I work with a 14 year old who's painfully thin and malnourished, and the thought of anyone using her illness to exploit her fills me with so. much. rage.
