The new ones wanted badly to look as good as these, attempting to incorporate styling cues from the classics, but mostly they just end up looking oddly bulbous, especially this one (I've never been a fan of the recent Quattroporte. The coupes look a bit better.):

They've improved the handling a lot over time. The early ones were like driving a bouncy castle, but the newer ones have a much better suspension setup and are pretty potent on the track.
