Yes. Yes they are. unfortunately, they would not have helped this situation. What we found out was that someone was trying to steal the wheels, made it through the 5 rears and 3 of the fronts (loosend so they could block it) before something scared them off.

Someone tried stealing them and had loosened the 5 lugs on this wheel and 3 on the front before something scared them off (or at least thats what we suspected).

The side wall protects the wheel faces from hitting (unless it lands perfectly on a jutted rock) and the large sidewall and tire space absorb the impact. Like punching a really fat kid in the stomach, sure he jiggles, but you're going to have to pack one hell of a punch to really hurt him.

Assuming those are stock sized tires on the Rubicon wheels the weight should be 81 lbs. The rest of that I could not help you with.
