My brother picked up a 5-speed 1992 4runner with only 42k original miles on it. New tires, clean interior, some body rust but the frame is solid. He only paid $700 for it which is cool and everything. The bad part was that there was a pretty major knock. We ended up finding a junkyard motor with over 200,000 miles and

Rock crawling is synonymous with solid axles and articulation. Raphael is the only close one here, as it has a solid rear axle.. The rest of the staff picks are way off.  For 10k you can get a SAS 3rd gen on 40s with lockers and manual trans.

Man, it’s crazy to think people would trade in a 10 year old car for $1500, rather than sell it on CL or marketplace.

What a piece of crap. Good call on the helmet!

Import the car from a LHD country in Europe.

You could import it, and find and buy a wrecked/stripped down ST with a clean title in the same color. Get the VIN rubbing off the wrecked ST and register it to your state. Then put your plates on your import.

    HELL YEAH

The real trick is filling up a harbor freight airless sprayer with used motor oil and coat the entire under carriage

My Dad had one growing up. 350k miles on it before he killed it; still had original clutch too. He would regularly get 40+mpg while running gear oil in the crankcase. The thing was so fast the wind took the paint right off it

I beat the fucken piss outta my 3rd gen 4runner. 215k and counting... 5vzfe will receive a supercharger soon

If you’ve got 5 grand to buy a car, surely that’s enough money to MOVE the hell out of the desert. Why would anyone not move from a place that gets 5mm of rain per year?? Waiting 25 years for a ‘deal’ that may not happen. The hell with that place

Its funny, you see them everywhere but a junkyard.

Thinking about entering my 4runner. It’s covered in mud and sand right now. Think they’ll let me in? It has period correct dents, pin striping, and rust :-)

Pretty surprised you didn’t custom fab one up, with that fancy new HF welder.

Never been in an accident on road. Here’s my raisin :o)

Was.....this Matt Farrah’s million mile Lexus?

I recently tried to pull a steering wheel out of a wrecked truck that someone more than likely died in. There was a decent amount of blood on the deployed airbag that I was trying to remove. Anyway, both my T30 torx bit & T30 screw driver snapped while trying to remove the bag. Guess the guy who died didn’t wanna give
