Avery Brooks and Cirroc Lofton made a believable father/son pairing. And Lofton’s Jake Sisko came into his own as a character (a journalist during the occupation), not suffering the mockery from fans as with Wesley Crusher on “Next Generation”.

Unless DiCaprio is abusing these women, I have no problem with him dating women in their early 20's. I don't understand the problem here.
It’s also amazing, even for Jezebel, to try and infer so much from an Instagram post and then pass judgement. Marginally more context and even gossip via a few tabloids would have justified this piece a bit more. Did he leave the party early to meet up with a female “colleague”? Then we’d be talking.
Counterpoint: The point of being a billionaire is that time has no meaning and every day can be made extraordinary through your wealth.
“You’d have to pay me a lot of money to work with Jim again,” in apparent reference to the hypothermia she experienced on the set of Titanic, as well as nearly drowning twice while filming the blockbuster. The following year, Rolling Stone reported that she said the quote had been “misinterpreted.”
No government should be in the business of murder and that’s what execution is, murder.
yea I feel like the outrage generated by this is grossly disproportional to what happened. It was pretty poor judgement posting on TikTok but with all the outrage I watched the video ready for them to say something really egregious about patients but it was basically like “it’s super annoying that people dont follow…
Yup. And I think the general public does not understand the abuse healthcare professionals are subject to. Humor is the only coping mechanism.
Yes. It doesn’t seem like a great deal, but I’m not an expert in international negotiations, and I don’t believe most of the people weighing in are, either. It seems to me Russia had us over a barrel. There is absolutely nothing we could have done that wouldn’t have caused a lot of problems. So I’m glad she’s home…
So this is related to this topic, but it seems shit has hit the fan in the world of nursing. I haven’t worked bedside healthcare in a long time, and don’t think I could ever go back.
For a while I hung out with a bunch of ladies who worked in nursing homes. The takeaway was nobody actually wants to take care of you or anybody else and the jobs are awful, but they took the job because it is better than a low-level service job and requires not that much training/education.
Since this really falls under the work done by the Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs, there’s very little credit aside from agreeing to the framework Biden actually did. But it’s historically The President who gets to take the applause. In that regard, it is a poor look to the families who aren’t…
“The nurse also allegedly told the patient and her wife that if their baby died, she wouldn’t perform CPR on him because he was “too small;”
Ehhh. It’s nice she’s home but this trade was really not in the best interest of all that is right in the world so don’t expect people to be super-happy to celebrate her.
I bet Paul Whelan really wishes he could play basketball.
No Benjamin Sisko? Dude might have been the best Star Trek captain.
